Long Beach California (Beach side by the Queen Mary) Spherical Object

Posted: January 11, 2008

Date: July 2005 Time: Early Afternoon

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Spherical, Silver or reflective in color.

Full Description of event/sighting: That day we were at the beach and pretty much just relaxing in the sand. For me it's a tendency to look up to the sky and see if maybe its one of those days where I can catch a glimpse of something unbelievable. Well that day, I spotted an object really high up in the sky, and by high, it had to be somewhere in the range of 800 feet to 1500 feet, or maybe even more, it was so hard to judge its height- but it was definitely way the hell up there. I started watching, and ran through the possibilities of time of day, was it maybe a star or a planet shinning early in the day as it crept towards nighttime? nope. A plane?

Possible, however I watched it for a couple minutes not move, still glistening with its silver color and orb smoothness. Was it a balloon? I ruled that out quickly, it sat and didn't move at all- what-so-ever. Then I drew my brothers attention to it. I carefully pointed it out to him, and when he finally picked up on it we both monitored it together for the next 15 minutes. But the rest of the people in the group couldn't locate it no matter how hard they tried. Being so small and so high up, it was hard to pinpoint. However part way through the observation, the object dropped a small bit in altitude, and then started moving higher and higher. Its movement was very staggered, and seemed to wobble. Eventually it got so far away is dissolved into the blue.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
