Full Description of event/sighting: I spotted this object while passing from northwestern Hillsdale County, Michigan, into southwestern Jackson County, Michigan. It appeared as a large, round white light in the distance past some trees I was approaching. I turned right onto a dirt road called "Hanover Rd" in Jackson County, stopped, then started videotaping the object. There was a large field between me and this object and the sky was clear. It was dark at the time of the sighting and stars could be seen all around. The object disappeared after a smaller, blinking light flew directly behind or in front of it. No blinking lights took the place of the larger object that had disappeared, though, so I doubt that it was an airplane that had changed its light configuration. Eventually, I turned my attention to another light further to the west and lower in the sky. I followed it for a while and then left the area.
