Full Description of event/sighting: At about 8:00pm one August evening in 2005, a friend and I were sitting in his parked vehicle outside my apartment complex in the city of Jackson, Michigan. While we were talking I happened to glance to the southeast and I saw a bright, white light in the sky moving to the northwest. Being summertime with a clear sky, it was light enough out to make out the body of an aircraft if one was there. The light moved for a few seconds and then disappeared. My friend saw it disappear as well. Nine days later, as I was preparing to leave for work at about 6:35am, I noticed a bright, white light to the southwest. It did not appear to be that far away. It was light enough to make out a conventional aircraft if that's what it was. However, after looking at the light for about five seconds it disappeared. There were few if any clouds in the sky and I never saw blinking lights take the place of the object that had disappeared. Curiously, the object was in an area of the sky that was the most easily observed by me as I walked toward my truck in the parking lot. It seemed to me that it wanted to be very noticeable.
