Time: 12:30 a.m.
My wife and I saw an orange-ish, reddish light in the night sky around 12:30 am on the morning of July 9, 2010. We saw it in Anderson IN, which is about 30 minutes North East of Indianapolis. It was in the northwest sky. The light moved like an airplane at first, but then slowed down.
It hovered for about 20 seconds then just disappeared. We immediately Google orange lights in the night sky to see if we were alone. Your post is the only mention I have seen of anything like this in the Indy area. It was very strange.
