Green Fireball Shaped Object Over Fishkill New York

Date:  January 5, 2013
Time:  Approx: 6:38 p.m.

My husband literally just saw this, so we tried to Google it and came across your site to email you.
At about 6:38 p.m. on Saturday 1-5-13:

It as a green color like a stop light, looked like a firework, but going in a straight line. It appeared for only a few seconds.

It just appeared with a fire ball shaped front then went into a complete stop, turned into a circle with this green after residue or lingering faint ray after the main bright green light just disappeared.

The lingering lighter green light disappeared just as fast like nothing was there at all. I was driving on Route 9 towards the 84 highway right before Wal-Mart in Fishkill, New York.

I mean it happened so fast that I tried to tell my wife to look and it was gone in seconds. I know it wasn't a firework, it looked like it, but not, it’s hard to explain, but I defiantly saw something.

Please let me know what your thoughts are. Thank you.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

I saw it too. 6:37. Flash of green in a line. Very close. Too close to be a shooting star. I thought I was crazy. What do u think it was?

By the way. I saw it in the sky over Bethlehem pa. Exactly the same as your husband described. Green line like a firework but in a straight line. Very quick. Soooooo fast and so close

Thought the same myself when I flash of light grasped my attention right outside my window in heron cut. My first thought was a shooting star but the flared ball of light appeared just above the tree line and was larger than any shooting star I have ever seen. I then thought maybe it was fire works but didn't hear the sound. It was only one I saw and it was gone.

I saw it in New Haven, CT. It was bluish-white and had a tail of sparks. I didn't see it change directions, it held a straight line and was visible for a few seconds. Many across the East Coast reported seeing it -

Pretty cool.
