I saw your blog posting about the comet last night and I saw the same thing. I live in Reading Pennsylvania.
I was driving on my way to return a red box movie at around 6:30 p.m. and I was about to stop at a stop sign when I saw the comet.
I have seen shooting stars before, but they were always fast moving and faint, but this one was very bright and slow moving. Then I lost it behind the trees and mountains. It was two colors, like an orangey/yellow with a green tail.
It freaked me out so much that I had to pull over to compose myself. I don't believe in aliens, but I stopped and scanned the sky to make sure that it wasn't an alien attack or something like war of the worlds.

I saw it from Bridgewater New Jersey last night too right around 6:30 PM. Happy others have posted seeing it too. Out of this world!
I saw it too! I just emailed you about it. I saw it from O=Poughkeepsie, NY at the same time, 630PM or so. Beautiful! I've only seen shooting stars, never something this colorful.
I also saw this from Shippensburg, PA. I thought it was a comet but when I searched the web for any news on comets or meteors last night I couldn't find anything. It was beautiful. It had a green tail with sparkles falling off of it. Slower than a "shooting star."
