Art - Part Of The Crash Crew On Adak Island Alaska Has Amazing UFO Encounter (Images/Letter/Envelope/Audio Interview)

Location Information: Adak is an island midway along the Aleutian Island chain southwest of mainland Alaska at 177 degrees west. At 52 degrees north it is not exactly arctic, nor is it temperate, but it is nearly always buffeted by cold, wet winds.

Most of the wind is generated by an endless series of cyclonic storms. The weather report for aviators almost never varies: Winds 25-40 gusting to 60, mostly cloudy with layers at 800 feet, 1200 feet, 2000 feet. Visibility 7 miles, rain. Temp 40 degrees F (plus or minus 5 degrees for most of the year).

It is bounded on the east and the west by volcanoes. To the west is Kanaga Volcano, a beautiful perfect cone, and to the east by Great Sitkin, which nearly always is at least smoking and erupted in the early 1970's.

UFO Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: I had a nice telephone conversation with an ex-serviceman by the name of Art. Art was stationed on Adak Island Aleutian Islands and was part of the crash crew for the fire department.

One late night in January 1976 at the airport, the control tower personnel rang the crash crew and told the members that an aircraft was going to be landing. The crash crew members jumped up and peered out the window and did not see an airplane of any kind, but rather a glowing object approximately 50 feet across. (Art told me it was the brightest light that he has ever seen in his life)

Art said it was really eerie to watch, and the humming that came from the UFO, seemed to resonate throughout all of the crash teams bodies.

One has to remember that the crash team was still inside their building when they could feel the humming, but they eventually did move outside and stood approximately 100 feet away from this huge and extremely bright UFO which was hovering just over the tarmac pretty much in front of the control tower and of course all the men watching.

As everyone stood looking at this unidentified object, more bright lights about the size of a Volkswagen came from out of the hovering UFO and flew at an incredible fast rate of speed up to a communication station which was located on a nearby hill and sat stationary on it. Another light went down and hovered over the bunkers.

After a period of time the lights that were zipping around did come back to the main object and merged into it. All of a sudden the large UFO took off at such a high rate of speed it left all of the personnel watching it dumfounded. As Art mentioned, we have nothing here on earth that could move as quickly as this thing did and

I would certainly be in agreement with Art on this.

The control tower called the crash crew and asked, "what the hell was that"! The crew replied back, it was a UFO! Art remembers one of the personnel in the control tower cursing, as this was something one does not see every day, and he also mentioned that the object was as bright as the sun and lit up the entire area as if it was daylight.

Art said, they were really frightened, they were young men at the time, Art being 19 years old. The thirteen men stood looking at one another saying, "what the heck was that"?

Soon afterwards, or after the event was over which left a lot of men scratching their heads, the officer of the day showed up and confronted the men and told them what they all saw was "Ball Lightning". Art's response to the officer of the day was, if that was ball lightning, then it had to be the largest display of lightning on record. Art also said he would be more than willing to sit down and take a lie detector test to provide what he is relating is the truth.

He also mentioned that there were people taking pictures of the object. He could not remember who these people were, but when the pictures came back, Art remembers everyone looking at them and seeing nothing but a bright, camera flash type light in each of the photos. One just wasn't able to see anything other than this brilliant white light.

Art also figures the object sat stationary just feet about the tarmac for 10 to 15 minutes. This object wasn't flying by, it was sitting still for a long period of time in front of all these men. Also he said that the UFO incident was placed into the crash crews logbook and also in the control tower's logbook as well.

Art sat down on another day following the sighting and wrote a letter to his family back home. This was a personal letter, asking how things were, etc., then Art added that he saw a UFO. He described just a little about what he saw.

Brian Vike has not removed any of the names or information. I asked Art if I should remove names and he told me to leave the letter as is.

The family members who are mentioned in this letter have passed away. I have also added a link to the envelope the letter came in.

After the family members passed on a lot of their possessions were given back to family and this is how Art came into possession again of his letter.

Blinding White Flash Turns Into Blue In The Sky Over Prudhoe Bay Alaska

We saw the same lights over Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and 250 miles away in Barrow.

First a white flash turning into blue. Bright enough to where those that saw it had to close their eyes.

Night of 1/14/2015 2:00 a.m. over 2,000 folks witnessed it.

Bright Ball Of Light/UFO Splits Over And Over In The Sky In Alaska

Date:  1970’s

In the 70's We (many residents) witnessed something similar in a small remote town in Alaska, except this was a ball of light that split over and over, moving to a point about a half mile away, then returning to it's original point to divide again.

It divided into 5 balls (the last ball always split into the new one) then reversed the process,4,3,2,1, then disappeared, took about an hour for the process from start to finish. It was over a river about a quarter of a mile away from the town and approximately 500 in the air, no sound, nothing, just these steady slow moving balls of light almost as if doing some kind of patrol or investigating the area or something.

Believe me or not, don't know, don't care, just telling what we saw. Couldn't have been a boat with a light, too high and no motor noise, that also excludes a helicopter.

Bright Flash Of Light Lit Up The Sky And Surroundings Over Alaska

Time:  Approx: 5:00 p.m.

I think the date was 12/28/12 at about 5:00 p.m. The flash was brief and very bright. It did not appear to be a meteor.

It was a flash similar to a flash from an old camera, but seemed to cover a large area, probably 30 square miles.

Sightings were miles apart. The flash was bright and observers said they could see their shadow.

Also the flash light they were using, was masked by the flash. Keep in mind 5:00 p.m. in Alaska at this time of year is quite dark.

Amber Colored Object Darts Around The Night Sky Over Palmer Alaska

 

Date:  Around October 20, 2009

Time:  Evening.

 

I saw something similar, but without the blue and red lighting. It was white and sometimes almost an amber blinking (not a constant blink, but more like a glimmer).

 

It had the darting movements and it lasted for about 25 minutes until it just faded.

 

This happened up at a cabin near Palmer.

 

I can't remember the exact date, but it was around October 20, 2009.

Glowing Red/Orange Object Flying Over The Western Horizon And Seen From Soldotna Alaska

Good Morning, I am an avid sky watcher and have lived in Alaska for almost 40 years and have never seen what I saw last night. I was looking out my kitchen window in the rural area of Soldotna, Alaska at 8:30 pm on 1/8/12 which was a cold, crisp, snow covered night with a very bright moon. 

 

Off on the western horizon appeared an orb that glowed red/orange and moved slowly across the sky. It went behind the trees and I didn't follow up by going outside as I should have!  My partner was downstairs and didn't see it, but did ask on FB if anyone else saw it with no confirmations as yet.

Large Bright Glowing Red Lights Observed Over Kenai Alaska

I saw this too. I saw only one, it was like a red, blue light in a small elliptical pattern. The light seemed to blink as though it was on one side and as it rotated you could see the light and as it turned it would go behind the craft.

 

I called for a few of my friends and they saw too. This was in Kenai Alaska approximately 10 miles from Soldotna.

Semi Transparent Long Tubular UFO Ascending Near Anchorage Alaska

 

Date:  April 1996

Time:  7:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.

Shape of Objects: Long tubular, but not symmetrical.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Anchorage sits in-between the Cook Inlet and the Chugach mountains. I was driving south on a road in the mountains at I would guess about 1500 to 2000 feet in altitude and I glanced down toward the inlet and saw what at first was what I thought to be a 747 departing town.

I did the O'l double take, and realized it was something odd. I looked for a place to pull over where I could have an unobstructed view of it. What I saw appeared to be a tubular shaped object slowly ascending (the way a blimp or airship would have) and heading south from the port.

I remember the oddest thing about its appearance was that it seemed semi-transparent. This caused me to remember as a boy in the woods when I overturned a rotten log and it revealed termites, that had no pigment.

That's what it looked like! Also it was not symmetrical. It reminded me of a crooked cigar. I watched it slowly move for 5 minutes and then got in my car and drove off expecting to hear that hundreds of other people saw it, but nothing.

I might have been the only person to witness it.

Two Very Large Bright Reddish Glowing Lights Over Soldotna Alaska

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were inside watching TV. It was a fairly clear night and very dark out. He got up to get a drink of water and looked out the window and saw two very bright, large, reddish glowing lights out the window. We turned out the lights in the house to watch, and for about 5 minutes saw them seemingly sit in the same position.

They appeared fairly close and looked like the headlights of a large truck coming toward us, though they did not appear to move, they stayed the same distance apart and above the ground.

We live out in the country and the lights looked like they were above and a bit before, the only neighbor below us. (Our house is on a hill.)

We went to the upper level of the house to get a better look and they remained in the same spot. We opened the window to listen, but no sound at all.

At this point I raised the binoculars I had managed to find and no sooner did, than the lights just blinked out. Like a light switch being thrown.

There is nothing in that area to produce such a light. They did not act like flares.

Long Cylinder UFO With Red Lights On It Over Valdez Alaska

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son went out to start his truck when he saw two lights in the sky. He called me too come out and look and when I got out side, I saw two slow moving orbs close together. As we watched they started to move apart and that’s when I realized it was a long shape with a red light on each end.

There was no noise and it was a clear night, dead calm, still air. We watched as the orbs started to move over the pipeline terminal and then just disappeared like someone flipped a switch. They were round and very red and did not blink or flash. It lasted about 8 minutes from the time I saw them, to when they vanished.

UFO And Alien Contact At Susitna Valley Alaska USA

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On July 7, 2005 I was camping on a high bluff overlooking the Susitna Valley in a very remote area about half way down the Denali Highway in Alaska. This whole area is used by the US Air Force for their exercises and there was a big one under way that day. They sprayed chemtrails all across the sky most of the day. There is a mountain range to the north and the Susitna valley is to the South where I was camping. At about 1:00pm I heard a jet moving from right to left on the other side of the mountain. The sound coming over the mountain appeared to be just below the crest of the mountain on my side so I followed the sound with my eyes as it moved to the left trying to see something. I knew it was a jet going down the valley on the other side of the mountain but weird how the sound appeared to be below the top of the mountain on my side.

As I followed the sound moving to my left I noticed a tiny object in my peripheral vision just to the left of where I was looking and wondered how could I have missed seeing this? It was a craft of some kind making a slow banked turn to the left. It was like looking at a faded blurry bluish gray image and I could see two vertical fins on the back. At this point I was confused and trying to make some sense out of what I was looking at. I thought the reason no wings could be seen was because of the edge on banked turn it was making at the time and know some military jets have two fins on the back. The craft was visible only for a few seconds and literally in the blink of an eye disappeared. This was the first of five strange things that happened on that day and it was like something out of Star Trek, but for real!

Later in the afternoon I went inside the tent to get some rest and was lying on my left side propped up on my left elbow totally lost in thought when suddenly my hand moved to my right thigh and at the same time while turning my head I spoke the words "You have a beautiful body. "Believe me I have never thought I had a beautiful body and my thoughts were on the other side of the Galaxy at the time. This was very strange and I didn’t understand what caused that. This was number two.

About 5:00pm I was outside again with my video camera set up on a tripod and was watching the sky. The activity seemed to be winding down with the military jets. Suddenly I turned left facing the valley before me and while scanning from left to right said "Thank you guardians for this." At the same time I had the most incredibly wonderful feeling of sheer ecstasy and awe at the natural beauty I was seeing. It filled every fiber of my being from head to toe. This was number three.

A short time later while standing next to my video camera mounted on the tripod, I could hear another jet going down the valley on the other side of the mountain just like the other jet but this time it flew around the end of the mountain turning left heading straight toward me and sprayed a short chemtrail then cut it off. As I stood there watching it about to make a straight overhead pass, tiny bright orange dots lit up on each wing and it released two flares directly overhead. While standing there watching these flares, two wingless narrow ships suddenly appeared with a rapid fade in circling the flares counter clockwise. One was going faster than the other and overlapped the other ship. I had an intense moment of panic thinking it was going to crash into the other ship. Then I noticed it was a little bit bigger than the other ship which meant they were at different altitudes.

They knew I was watching this and did it for me. I tried to get the camera recording and turned straight up but the handle hit the tripod and stopped. If the center had been cranked up at the time it could shoot straight up. So I hit the power switch and record button on the handle then pulled the camera back and forth on the tripod hoping to get something. The camera never came on because the switch on the camera was still in the off position. I knew this was only going to last a few seconds and between quickly looking down at the camera and back up at the ships, they were gone. It was like being under water watching two speed boats circling above me. The ships were long and narrow, square across the back tapering on the front like a bow but flat where the point would be. This was number four.

That night about 1 AM one of my three infrared motion detectors went off. I was camping in bear country and had them for this reason. I looked out the side window where the alarm was and could see nothing at all. This time of year it’s daylight all night long and the light just dims a little between 1:00am and 2:00am. I thought the alarm may be malfunctioning and would stop soon but it didn’t. The beeping continued continuously without any break in the beeping for about 15 minutes and even though I was extremely groggy at the time, I slid out of my sleeping bag to go outside and see what the problem is with the motion detector.

I had my Remington 1187 shotgun loaded with three inch magnum slugs with me just in case a bear was out there and the second I started unzipping the door on the tent, the beeping stopped. I went out the door setting off one of the alarms covering the door area then went around to the side where the now silent alarm was and it started beeping like it normally would with the occasional break in the beeping pattern when I stood still. I don’t really know what happened out there but I may guess that something unseen that knew I had a weapon paid a visit. I witnessed two anti gravity ships with instant invisibility and here I am possibly catching them with a cheap 9 volt infrared motion detector. This was number five.

I really feel that they were able to get inside my mind and know everything about me. They made my arm and head move and my mouth to speak. They did this! I was granted an incredible privilege that day which was being allowed to see their ships and having some interaction with them and I believe the ecstasy I felt earlier was coming from them through me. I only wish I could have seen them and not just their ships. Looking back, I’m very much ashamed of my action with the shotgun. They were there in person for some unknown reason, possibly contact.

Anchorage Alaska USA Bright Light

Description: I was laying in bed and looked out the window above my head and saw this bright white light in the sky. My location is East Anchorage. The White light was very bright and then I saw a red and blue light blinking. At first I thought it was a plane but it wasn't moving like a plane would. The object was moving sporadically and darting back and forth but in an isolated area.

I called my friend into the room and I said do you see that light? She said yes what is that? I said I don't know. She said look its moving around in different patterns but not moving like a plane would. We both sat and watched it for about 30 minutes and it continued to do the same thing.

Neither my friend nor myself have ever seen anything like this.

Northwest Of Wasilla Alaska Lights Form A Triangular Object

Full Description of event/sighting: I saw three lights low on the horizon, looking north off of my balcony near Wasilla, Alaska at around 7:15pm Alaska time on January 20th, 2009. I frequently go outside at night to watch the stars and I noticed this set of lights, which weren't supposed to be there. The lights changed in intensity and changed position as if they were attached to something. When I first saw them, they were a perfect triangle. They moved to form an elongated triangle pointing east, then reoriented again. I didn't hear any noises. What seemed to be the "center" light was brighter than the other two.

The center light was brightest when oriented head on, forming almost a straight line, then turned again, becoming a smaller looking triangle. It didn't move quickly enough to be distinct, if that makes any sense. But they definitely moved quickly enough as to change the arrangement of the lights within 10-15 seconds. I called my girlfriend out to see them, but all we could see was the center light.

Then, they began to move again and the triangle was visible. I called her back out and she saw it, too. She said it was creepy. At first, I thought they might be helicopters flying in formation. There were no other blinking lights, but they did "twinkle" like stars, which is what made it seem so strange. I am not an avid UFO enthusiast, but I do like to watch the stars. This is the first time I have seen anything like this. I do remember watching something on the Science channel about triangular lights which behaved exactly like these did about a month prior to this event.

I don't think that influenced what I saw, but it definitely made me watch them closer. After about 15 minutes of watching (it was fairly chilly), I came inside to check if there had been any reports. I didn't really know where to look, though, and I found this site through a Google search on how to report sightings. When I went back outside to continue watching, the lights were gone, as far as I could tell. After submitting a report on another site, I checked the sky again, but it had become cloudy and I could not see much.

Ninilchik Alaska A Cylinder Shaped UFO

Description: A friend called to ask if I could see this object and I looked without my glasses and could see flashing red and green lights at a distance. Putting my glasses on it was very clear and moved slightly both to the right and left, over the period of an hour it moved to the North several degrees and became lower on the horizon.

I called a friend with a telescope, he saw the object and had several others observe. They all said they had never seen anything like it. It was above the horizon on the West side of Cook Inlet between Redout and Illiamna Volcanoes. It is still out there an hour later...we all want to know what we are looking at.

Artic Ocean Barrow, Alaska Bright Lights - Grey Bluish Ball

Shape of objects: Baseball shape, bright headlight looking lights and round grey bluish ball.

Full Description of event/sighting: About a mile and a half out on the open lead (open water between landlocked ice and drifting ice). Out of all my pictures this one is unexplainable. It was taken about 11:00pm just when the sun set for the night. It was pretty windy with gusts 20-25 mph blowing from the northeast, the ice was also floating by in this direction, choppy water and no boats or lights were present. There was indeed a few bowhead and beluga whales swimming by, along with a few seals. I can't figure out what these "Bright Lights/Grey Bluish Ball" are near or on the floating iceberg. The only odd sighting that evening was a weird looking object/UFO to the left of the setting sun that seemed to be multiplying in thin air. Seen what appeared to be an exhaust plume of some sort. As for the two bright lights/grey bluish glob, that was not seen until I viewed my photos a few days later.

Adak Island, Alaska UFO Hovers (Letter, Envelope, Audio Interview)

Location Information: Adak is an island midway along the Aleutian Island chain southwest of mainland Alaska at 177 degrees west. At 52 degrees north it is not exactly arctic, nor is it temperate; but it is nearly always buffeted by cold, wet winds. Most of the wind is generated by an endless series of cyclonic storms. The weather report for aviators almost never varies: Winds 25-40 gusting to 60, mostly cloudy with layers at 800 feet, 1200 feet, 2000 feet. Visibility 7 miles, rain. Temp 40 degrees F (plus or minus 5 degrees for most of the year). It is bounded on the east and the west by volcanoes. To the west is Kanaga Volcano, a beautiful perfect cone, and to the east by Great Sitkin, which nearly always is at least smoking and erupted in the early 1970's.

Brian Vike Director of *HBCC UFO Research* had a nice telephone conversation with an ex-serviceman by the name of Art. Art was stationed on Adak Island Aleutian Islands and was part of the crash crew for the fire department. One late night in January 1976 at the airport, the control tower personnel rang the crash crew and told the members that an aircraft was going to be landing. The crash crew members jumped up and peered out the window and did not see an airplane of any kind, but rather a glowing object approximately 50 feet across. (Art told me it was the brightest light that he has ever seen in his life)

Art said it was really eerie to watch, and the humming that came from the UFO, seemed to resonate throughout all of the crash teams bodies. One has to remember that the crash team was still inside their building when they could feel the humming, but they eventually did move outside and stood approximately 100 feet away from this huge and extremely bright UFO which was hovering just over the tarmac pretty much in front of the control tower and of course all the men watching.

As everyone stood looking at this unidentified object, more bright lights about the size of a Volkswagen came from out of the hovering UFO and flew at an incredible fast rate of speed up to a communication station which was located on a nearby hill and sat stationary on it. Another light went down and hovered over the bunkers. After a period of time the lights that were zipping around did come back to the main object and merged into it. All of a sudden the large UFO took off at such a high rate of speed it left all of the personnel watching it dumfounded. As Art mentioned, we have nothing here on earth that could move as quickly as this thing did and I would certainly be in agreement with Art on this.

The control tower called the crash crew and asked, "what the hell was that"! The crew replied back, it was a UFO! Art remembers one of the personnel in the control tower cursing, as this was something one does not see every day, and he also mentioned that the object was as bright as the sun and lit up the entire area as if it was daylight.

Art said, they were really frightened, they were young men at the time, Art being 19 years old. The thirteen men stood looking at one another saying, "what the heck was that"?

Soon afterwards, or after the event was over which left a lot of men scratching their heads, the officer of the day showed up and confronted the men and told them what they all saw was "Ball Lightning". Art's response to the officer of the day was, if that was ball lightning, then it had to be the largest display of lightning on record. Art also said he would be more than willing to sit down and take a lie detector test to provide what he is relating is the truth.

He also mentioned that there were people taking pictures of the object. He could not remember who these people were, but when the pictures came back, Art remembers everyone looking at them and seeing nothing but a bright, camera flash type light in each of the photos. One just wasn't able to see anything other than this brilliant white light.

Art also figures the object sat stationary just feet about the tarmac for 10 to 15 minutes. This object wasn't flying by, it was sitting still for a long period of time in front of all these men. Also he said that the UFO incident was placed into the crash crews logbook and also in the control tower's logbook as well.

Art sat down on another day following the sighting and wrote a letter to his family back home. This was a personal letter, asking how things were, etc, then Art added that he saw a UFO. He described just a little about what he saw.

I asked Art if I should remove names and he told me to leave the letter as is. The family members who are mentioned in this letter have passed away. I have also added a link to the envelope the letter came in. After the family members passed on a lot of their possessions were given back to family and this is how Art came into possession again of his letter.

On a side note, separate from the sighting Art and the other men had. Art told me about another time when a Coast Guard ship docked at Adak Island where he was stationed, and he and others were handling the tying up of the Coast Guard ship. After the ship was docked and the Coast Guard crew were coming off the ship, one of the sailors stopped and talked to Art and the other men, saying you would not believe what just happened as the Coast Guard ship was coming into port. A UFO came straight up and out of the water in front of the ship and kept traveling straight up. The sailor said the craft was anywhere from 50 to 100 feet in width. The ship immediately scrambled and went into general quarters. The sailor said he was as white as a sheet, from the sounds of things, the entire crew was pretty freaked out over the incident. Also I should add, this UFO incident happened prior to what Art and the others folks witnessed.

Adak Island, Aleutian Islands Alaska UFO Hovers 100 Feet Away From Military Personal

I ex-serviceman contacted me by email on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 and told me an fascinating story in which he was stationed on Adak, Island in May of 1975 until April 1976. The gentleman saw a UFO in January 1976. The man still has a personal letter he sent to his Aunt in 1976 with descriptions of the craft. He was on the fire department for 2 months, then he went to the crash crew. The fellow told me his still has many fond memories from being stationed there. Fishing drinking, hiking and skiing.

HBCC UFO Research replied to the fellow and asked if I might be able to telephone him and gather more information on what he saw. Also asking about posting the personal letter he wrote to his family, etc. I received an email back with the man's telephone number and I did call. Well what a wonderful conversation I had with him. A very nice fellow who filled me in on what he and 13 other military serviceman saw hovering just feet above the tarmac in front of the flight tower. I should add that there were other folks in the area who may have witnessed this craft. The incident was written up in the tower's log book, and some of the serviceman were taking photos of this UFO as it sat stationary. The object was huge in size and other smaller UFOs came of the larger one and moved about and then joining up again with the main craft. I was told the photos that were taken showed a brilliant light sitting over the runway. Also strobing colored lights could be seen coming from inside the main object.

I am going to release the "letter" as it was written, I won't be removing any names from it, or removing any information as permission was given for me to leave the letter intact. Also I will be releasing an 22 or so minute telephone interview where you can hear the witness describing the craft. I am just waiting to receive a scanned copy of the original envelope the letter came in.
