They moved from left to right from the horizon up to the middle of the sky, then disappeared.

Good day Brian, Merry Christmas. I wanted to tell you that my wife, 19 year old daughter and myself saw five orangey-red lights last night at around 7:00 p.m.

I immediately posted to Facebook and waited to see if anything would be reported on the local news. Nada. We live in a very rural area outside of Orlando which is extremely quiet. The lights were pretty close, but made no noise whatsoever. 

They gradually dimmed until unseen by the naked eye with the exception of one which just completely disappeared like someone flipped a switch. This morning I checked the news again, Nada, so I Googled and found this blog. Absolutely amazing.

Orange Light Spotted For Five Minutes Over Glendale Arizona

Five UFOs Looked Like Lightning Bugs Over Venango County Pennsylvania

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At a camp above the Allegheny river near the National Forest on the road in front of my camp I witnessed a UFO which I could not tell if it was organic or mechanical fly across the treetops emanating a light similar to a lightning bug.

 

It flew back across the valley and the river and I got my wife out of the cabin to witness this event.

 

While we were watching the original one fly over, it was followed by 4 more at the same height and speed which seemed to be about 6 or 7 miles hour. My wife ran into the cabin and I went in about a minute or two later. I wish I would have stayed and got a little better description, which would be that they were about 3 to 4 feet long and maybe 30 feet in diameter.

Five Red Orange Lights Over Dubuque County Iowa

Hello. My fiancé and I seen 5 reddish orange flashing lights flying across the sky last night, December 25, 2011, around 9:00 pm in Dubuque, IA. The first three were in a V formation with the last two following in a line straight behind them.

 

I guess you could call this a Y formation. They made no noise and we just stood there in awe and watched them move across the sky. It seemed that one of the first three faded out as they got farther away. Any idea what this was? Thank you.

Five Large Bright Orange Lights Over Dunellen New Jersey

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I saw 5 very large bright orange lights in the eastern sky very low over our town. Three were in a V formation and 2 were off to the left. They moved slowly in perfect formation toward the west and seemed to be climbing in elevation.

 

My husband shot very clear video for 3 minutes, including an incoming airplane, which can be clearly seen and heard in the video. The lights made no noise. As they moved higher and to the west, they started to disappear from view, one by one.

 

I had called our local police, but they came a minute or two too late. They did, however, watch our video and reported to dispatch. They also told us several calls came in to other local police.

Five Orange Lights In The Sky Over Central New Jersey

At Approximately 10:30 p.m. on December 24, 2011 my father and I both saw approximately 5 orange lights in the skies to the west moving slowly towards the north. 

 

The 5 "objects" were in the shape of almost a checkmark. The 5 lights disappeared within 5-10 minutes. They seemed completely out of place and I am baffled at what they could possibly have be.

Five Orange Lights Over Portland Oregon

 

Five orange lights, four in front and one further behind crossed from SW to NE across Portland last night (12th July 2008). When the fifth light caught up with the other four all five went up through the clouds and disappeared.

 

No sound was heard. Definitely not aircraft.

4 Blue/Lavender Lights Just Five Feet Off The Ground At Atlanta Georgia

Hi, I Googled blue lights and found your website. This past Thursday our power went out at 5:30 pm and was off for 10 hours due to a severe thunder and lightning storm. At around 10:00pm or so, I told my husband I was going out to the car to sit in the a/c as I was overheated. (I had heat exhaustion several years ago and no longer perspire so I am severely affected by heat now.)

 

I was sitting in the driver's side for approximately 10 minutes and saw a car slowly go by. The weather was still pretty bad and I watched him to see if he was going to stop. The car continued out of sight and I watched the brake lights fade.

 

I still watched where he disappeared in case he came back. About a minute later, I saw 4 blue lights about maybe about 3-4 feet apart that were maybe 5 feet off the ground. Our home is about 100 yards off the main road, but I could see these lights very clearly.

 

I could see that there was nothing under them, no vehicle. I realized it was not of this world and sheer terror literally engulfed me. I watched as one light broke away and came down our driveway. I opened my door and made inside the house and initially couldn't speak to my husband.

 

I managed to say that there were lights and were blue and one was coming, but it wasn't a car and I was scared and please don't let them get me. He turned off the flashlight and looked out the window. There were a few fireflies flying around and he said I must have seen fireflies.

 

I convinced myself it was fireflies, please God, let it be fireflies. I went on Mufon.com today and saw that someone else had a similar experience with the 'lavender lights' 2 days after my experience. I called them lavender so that maybe anyone else who had seen them would connect my report with the other.

 

Also, I believe I was abducted when I was a little girl about 4-6 times. I never told anyone, but finally posted my experiences on mufoncentral, but the website is down now. Will you please let me know if you know what these lights are?

 

Being that one came down our driveway instead of across the pasture in front of us, there is an intelligence, right?

Five Orange Objects Flew Over Irvine California

Hello, I live in Irvine, CA.  On the night of June 2, 2011 at about 12:30am, I was sitting on my patio just before going to bed. From the east a big orange orb shaped object moved slowly above to the west, then slowly faded out toward the north. 

 

I couldn't tell if it was just fading out, or if it was moving away. I called my husband out to the patio and he saw it too. 2-3 minutes later, another, following the exact same path. It was an exact repeat. Then, 2 at the same time.  2-3 minutes later, exact same path, exact same behavior. 

 

Then, one more a couple minutes after that. There were a total of 5 over about 10 or so minutes. Totally silent. No tail, as though a meteor might have (my husband said he thought it was pieces of a large meteor that had somehow broken up, moving through or past our atmosphere), plus it just seemed to be moving too slow.

 

You could see a very distinct orb shape within the orange fiery light, and they were all the exact same size.  Very strange. 

I could not find any other reports on this sighting from others the next morning, which surprises me because it was such an obvious occurrence in the night sky. I could hear traffic moving on the 405 Fwy even at that hour, and you'd think someone would have seen the strange event. 

 

I even called and left a message at the Orange County Register to see if anyone called in the sighting to them. I left a message and no one called me back. Anyway, I wanted to write it somewhere so if others saw these strange lights and Googled it, they could see my account of it too. I would love some logical explanation of it, but as it stands, to me, these are definitely unidentified flying objects! Thank you.

Five Lights Above Witnesses At The Aptos Golf Clubhouse California

Time:  Evening.

 

Me and my fiancé were at a wedding reception at Aptos Golf Clubhouse and while outside on the deck, several of us looked up and seen the five lights. Four in a square configuration and one at the bottom center. We all watched as they changed configuration, and hovered above us.

 

They were still, then moved upward. One came from the horizon to join thee rest and then they vanished. One minute later another came from the horizon to the same position and location as the rest. It then went upward and vanished. What is it.

 

What I saw couldn't be explained. Not a plane, and I have seem Stealth F-11 in person, not a kite, not a balloon, what is it.

Five Strange Orange Lights Over San Bernardino California

Hello Brian, I wanted to report a sighting in San Bernardino, California. On Saturday February 12, 2011 around 8:00pm, I was driving southbound on Mt. Vernon Ave. I noticed five strange orange lights to the right in the sky. The lights were orange and formed a large semicircle. I was with my two friends and I told them to look up, and they also saw the strange lights.

As we were driving to Colton, they slowly started to pulse and disappear one by one. They were visible for approximately ten to fifteen minutes. We had also called my older sister my niece, and my parents to go outside and view the lights. They were all able to see them and confirm what we saw.

Five Bright Orange Balls Of Light Over Kingston Area In Ulster County New York

To Brian Vike, at 9:02 PM EST myself and my girlfriend witnessed five bright orange balls of light in the sky over Kingston area in Ulster County NY. I was outside with my car and first saw two which multiplied to three in a vertical line, ran to the door and got my girlfriend outside, in those few seconds there was five in a rough circle. They stayed stationary, and low in the northeast horizon (I'd say over the Hudson River) for approximately two minutes then one by one vanished. Happened yesterday, September 5, 2010.

Usually have scoffed at things like this until I found your site with very similar sightings.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At first I thought it was 3 stars of Orion's belt, but they were huge amber fireball shape staying still. Then 2 more joined horizontally to the three. With the five sitting there, 2 moved close together and went vertically up so quick and disappeared and the other three right afterwards. I video taped, but the video is not top quality.

I went out onto the highway to view the clear sky and I could not spot them again. The full time of 2 lingering 3 minutes then total time of observing was 10 minutes.

Morristown New Jersey - Eastern Sky Towards EWR Five Red Lights

Full Description of event/sighting: At first there were 5 very bright red glowing lights swaying in a random format over eastern Morris county, looking east from Mennen Arena area in Morris Twp, NJ. Very high up in the sky. There were no trees to block the view. clear skies. Some planes flying about the area. The random lights remained in the same vicinity, not flying, just swaying as if glued to high tree tops swaying back and forth to and fro in the wind. This went on for about 5 minutes. Then they started moving about randomly and then formed into what looked like the 5 'points" of a peach sign (without the circle). It remained that way for about 5 mins. Then they seemed to fade a bit and the first one disappeared. Then the next one disappeared. Then the 3rd one moved behind the 4th remaining one and then seemed to fall slowly below the tree line. Then the 4th disappeared. Then finally after 5 mins the last one disappeared. Then they were all gone.

I was in the car. I called my husband in Mendham, NJ. he went out front to look and saw 3 of the lights over the tree tops. I drove to my girlfriend's house in Morris Plains (5 mins from initial sighting) while on the phone with her she went outside with her husband. They saw 3 of the lights over the tree tops.

Fairfield, Texas Five Cigar Shaped UFOs

Weather Conditions: Very clear and crisp at sunset.

Description: We were on our back porch facing our West pasture (toward Stephenville/Waco) looking at the beautiful sunset. In the distance we saw three perfectly still streaks. At first we thought they were jet trails but they never broke up. We realized that the shapes were solid and highly reflective. They looked as if they were perfectly suspended. My boyfriend then noticed two more actually moving from South to North off to the left of the three stationary
ones to the West. He said to run in and get the digital camera. We took several pictures but these objects were just too far out of range for the camera to really be seen on the digital screen. We live out in the country on a ranch and see many strange lights, but it seems like this last year has been very active. We saw something this past January too but never reported it.

TV/Radio: Apparently, we were not the only ones to see strange objects in the sky this past week in Central East Texas. We were shocked when we watched the Dallas news last night (Friday, October 24th) and saw a report and video of strange objects near Stephenville/Waco on Thursday, October 23rd. A family captured objects on film from their porch too! We are about 60 miles from where they were but must have seen similar objects.

Pueblo, Colorado Five White Lights Traveling In A Horizontal Direction

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving up Mesa Street in front of the army center with my friend, when I noticed five very bright lights in a horizontal direction. They flashed to the right and back to the left, then to the right again and back down to the left and died out. I was in shock. I continued up Mesa Street and into the parking lot of the Sunset shopping area in front of the Alibi bar and asked a few people if they seen anything and everybody said no. So I saw a guy in the parking lot sitting in his car next to the Canon National Bank, he also said no. So I am asking if anyone saw a UFO in the south side area at 7:30 pm?

Port Orange, Florida Five Fast Moving UFOs

Full Description of event/sighting: I was outside last night smoking a cigarette, as I don't ever smoke in the house. As is normal for me I was watching the sky while smoking because I always look for meteors. I constantly see airplanes in the night sky and they are easily seen from other objects as they always have flashing colored lights. What I saw shocked me. Five lights moving at the speed that a meteor would move and very high in the sky. What differentiated them from meteors is that they were all side by side equidistant from one another and there was no tail like you would see with a meteor as it burns in the atmosphere. I did some research today and from the information that I found the slowest meteors travel around 25,000 MPH. The fastest man made object I could find was the space shuttle upon reentry at 16,000 MPH. Nothing else came close to those speeds.

The objects came into my sight from the north traveling south. My view north is nearly unobstructed so I can see a long way. My view south is obstructed by trees within 30 feet or so of where I was standing. The objects flew directly from the north to the south and I am estimating that within 3 seconds of first viewing them they were gone. Even the fastest planes I have seen in the night sky are in my view for a minimum of 30-40 seconds, some alot longer. There were no colored lights of any kind and they did not stray from the direct north to south course at any time. I do not normally see planes flying in a north to south pattern with the exception of a very few that I can only assume are heading to Miami. When I do see those planes heading to Miami they are much further east and are within my view of sight for 3-4 minutes approx. I have only ever seen one other object flying this exact path once before about 2-3 weeks ago.

I believe you will find my account of that will resemble that of another sighting that was recently posted here on October 11th at 11:45 p.m. from a man in Miami. I again was looking for meteors when I saw something very faint but it seemed to block the view of the sky in a way to give the perception that it was moving. I stared at it in amazement. It looked as if it was trying to hide in the night sky. It was slightly oblong of round and the edges and a line down the underbelly from front to back were extremely dimly lit. So dim that the light was barely discernable. It was lower than any of the planes fly to my perception including the single engine planes that fly from the aeronautics school close by. I can only guess but it seemed to me that it was a good 10 miles away when I first spotted it and it moved again from north directly south and was gone from my view in approx 15 seconds. I have not wanted to tell anyone these things for fear of ridicule. I have been watching the stars since I was a kid and have only one other time seen anything close to these, however I was about 7 and I honestly cannot tell you if I actually saw something, or if it was just wishful thinking and a child's imagination.

I am 41 now and for 34 years I have seen nothing like these two encounters. I am not very secure with not being able to explain these things. I am not a person that rattles easily. I have never seen a movie that scared me. I do not jump to conclusions easily. I have a fairly high IQ and I can figure out just about anything. I will not say that I saw an alien spaceship. Rather I saw something that can fly that I cannot explain and have never seen before. I honestly don't want to see them again, but I cannot stop looking to see if I see them. I didn't tell anyone but my girlfriend what I saw the first time and basically wanted to put it out of mind till last night. I would love to set up a video recorder to record the sky all night, but I cannot afford one right now. I will do what I can to try to get a picture on my digital camera should I see them again. Until then I would like to send you pictures , drawings, of what I saw if you would like. Thanks for this site.

Rio Rico, Arizona A Display Of 5 Sequential Flashing Bright Fire Orange Lights

Full Description of event/sighting: Over Rio Rico Az. 15 minutes of tremendous noise in the air, nothing to be seen then silence. Suddenly a sporadic display of 5 sequential flashing bright fire orange lights flash in sequence but not in order, sporadically in different areas but not far from each other. Silence for 2 minutes, noise starts up again such as that of a freight train for another 5 minutes, then silence once again. This time 8 sequential but sporadic flashing bright lights rather large in nature appear over approximately the Amado-Az./Tubac -Az. area. However the size of the orange flashing lights were quite bright and large, much larger than that of an aircraft with no trail left behind as one would see with a comet or shooting star.

Cottonwood, Arizona Four Or Five Bluish Lights

Hello Brian, My name is (removed) I have emailed you in the past, and I have an incident which happened last night at around 10pm 9/25/06. I live in Cottonwood, Arizona. Now and was out on my porch looking in the direction of Sedona. I could just make out the outline of the Mogollon rim to the north when I noticed lights that seemed very strange.

I went to get my binoculars and focused on the area and saw what looked like four or five bluish lights in a horizontal pattern stationary, not flashing and it looked as though they were on the ground and close to the edge of the rim. As I watched an orange colored haloed flash with a tail dove in from maybe two thousand feet above and it almost looked as if it hit the ground, the bluish lights clicked off at that point and a flashing red light appeared to the right of where the blue lights were. Just to the left of the flashing red light there appeared a slowly pulsating reddish orange light.

At this point I called a friend of mine who lives in Sedona and asked if he heard or saw anything unusual, he said that as he was talking to me he heard several aircraft flying overhead and went outside. He was able to see several aircraft at high altitude coming in from the south, he noted that they were not flying the normal path that airliners follow and that there seemed to be pairs or several at a time. He walked out to the main road (89A) and tried to see what I was describing and did not find what I was seeing. News flash as I am typing this I received confirmation from people in Sedona that witnessed a fighter jet chasing a craft of unknown origin over Sedona.

As I was getting ready to head to Sedona to try to get closer, the lights on the rim changed again, between the two red lights there appeared four bright white lights horizontal to where they were sitting a space then two green lights then white the flashing red light was slightly above the green lights. At that point I got in the car and drove to Sedona and lost my reference point as to location of the objects, but I did see more cars than usual stopped on the side of the road (89A) as I came into town. Being that this happened over Sedona you might want to check this story out. I am thinking about calling the Sedona airport to get their reaction or a statement, with your contacts you might be able to get further than I could.
