San Pablo, California Craft Gives Off Bright Flashes Of Red & Blue Lights

Posted: January 18, 2008

Date: June 18, 2006 Time: 11:08 p.m.

Location of Sighting: At first from on facing second story window, then backyard. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: All I saw was a round pattern of lights when it banked.

Full Description of event/sighting: I called you Monday evening, I saw a craft from my second story window. I live on the top of a hill that has a good deal of overhead air traffic, both helicopters and fixed wing. So when what I thought was a helicopter came crossing by, and I realized there was no noise coming from it, it grabbed my attention. I saw this craft approach and ascend, coming from the bay and crossing right over the house. It appeared to bank to right a bit, revealing a very atypical pattern of extremely bright flashes of red and blue lights, which appeared to be coming from the edges of a round shape profile. The actual shape or silhouette of this object I could not see. When this happened, I left the 2nd story window I was in front of, and ran downstairs to the backyard for another look.

The object flew silently by over head, heading slightly to the right. I tracked the lights, which were so bright that they were actually hard to look directly at, I could actually feel a slight ringing in my ears as they flashed. The object passed the tree-line and gave me one chance to try and guess its size and range. Whatever size it was, it appeared to be at relatively low altitude. I am very interested to hear about any sightings like this that happened that night in this area, or recently and nearby.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
