Time: Evening.
December 22, 2011. Kennard, Indiana. Just witnessed the same thing. Bright orange ball of light in front of us while driving. We had a small patch of trees break our line of sight for nearly 3 seconds and it was gone.
A months ago in August we watched one move away from us then look like it dropped about 500 feet almost to touch the ground then flew away from us faster. We jumped in the car only to find that the one we were watching disappeared and then there were 5 various lights in the sky ranging in colors from bright orange to dark red.
So weird we called the police, not that they will do anything, but just so there is documentation.
