Time: Approx: 8:15 p.m.
Tonight, 12/31/11, we were at a New Year's party southeast of Phoenix around 8:15 p.m., where the host was shooting bottle rockets and we were all looking skyward. On the eastern horizon, moving from south to north, we all saw what initially looked like a very fast moving plane.
It was white, then turned blue-green. It looked like a shooting star, but very, very close and huge. It broke up into four little orange pieces after a long stretch. It was beautiful and amazing.

We were in Chandler Az at same time and looked up to find a large white object flying low and what to seem a slow speed flying at a level and flat as can be. It was no plane and we seen no trail behind it which i would assume a meteor would have. I assumed it was a ufo.
