I am in Sullivan County NY, saw this around the same time.
A blue streak heading ssw towards Pa. Would love to know if this landed and where.

My husband and I were traveling down the NYS Thruway (I-87) last night around the same time (6:30 pm), near the Catskill exit and we saw it! It was just a white ball of light moving in the east - I thought it was a shooting star, until it crossed the thruway appearing to fall to the earth, and had a blue streak of light behind it. It appeared VERY close - not like a shooting star. As it crossed to the west, it seemed to die out. Would like to know what this was and where it landed. Seeing the posted that it was seen west of where we were, I can't imagine what this was!
It was 6:30pm 1/21, around exit 15 wilton area. I saw the same exact thing. Just as I thought it was going to crash on the thruway the light disappeared... or burned out.. def not a shooting star.
People in Colorado saw a blue streak across the sky going horizontally from East to West and then disappeared near the foothills. This was on March 11, 2015 No One knows what it was
