Ball Of Light Circled In A Clockwise Fashion Over Lexington Kentucky

Time:  Approximately 2:00 a.m.

Hi, I saw this ball of light early one morning, around 2:00 a.m., back in 2011. I watched it for about an hour or so.

No, it wasn't a beam of light as the light was coming from behind the clouds. It circled in a clockwise fashion.

It was going pretty fast then all of a sudden it slowed down, but continued in it’s circular motion.

It was circling over the rear end of the park, where soccer games are held. I had a clear view from my bedroom window to the park. I observed this thing for more than an hour.

I then found my camera and video taped it. Since then, I've obtained a better camera, as I think about what I saw each and every day. I have seen other unexplainable things before, but there had always been someone else with me to witness them. This one I was all by myself.

After observing for a while, for some reason, I became filled with much fear. I will never forget that early morning.

I've searched the internet to see if anyone else had experienced the same thing. So glad I came upon your blog.

I still look for this thing whenever I sat on my porch. Especially when the sky is full of broken clouds. Thank you.

Unknown Lights Circling Overhead In Covington Kentucky

 Date:  May 6, 2014
Time:  3:30 a.m.

I woke up with terrible heartburn around 3:30 a.m. on May 6, 2014, so I went outside to sit on my front porch to have a cigarette.

The leaves were starting to bloom on the trees at that time of year, so they were not empty, yet not full. I noticed something that looked like a spotlight in the sky passing through the trees.

The light was dim light a flashlight, but much bigger, and it did not have any beams stemming from the sky or the ground. As I studied this light, I saw it moving, in a steady pace through the opening of the trees, counterclockwise, full circle, then clockwise, but the clockwise seemed to start at the half-way point.

So, it would do 1 full circle counterclockwise, then 1 half circle clockwise, with the clockwise not starting from where the counterclockwise ended. It seemed to be very low and could have covered the distance of 2-3 houses on my street.

It was right above me. I sat out there for about 30 minutes and this continued the whole time. I studied the neighborhood as well to make sure the light wasn't coming from the top of a neighbor's house, and it wasn't. I went back to bed baffled.

The next day I decided to walk across the street and then go into my back yard to try to determine the diameter that this light was hovering, and my guess was right, 2-3 houses.

I only wish I would have had the nerve to go into the back yard as I witnessed this because there is a huge clearing back there. I later asked the local police department, that is located just a couple of blocks away, if they were aware of any sort of motion lights in the neighborhood, and they were not aware of any, nor were any of the neighbors.

It couldn't have been a motion light anyway, there were no beams. I'm still baffled. I keep thinking it could've been the lights that trim the bottom of an unidentified craft, and that I couldn't see the craft because of the trees. Never know.

Please let me know if there are any other similar sightings, it would help put my mind at ease.

Blinding Blue/Green Flash Of Light Seen In The Sky Over Horse Cave Kentucky

Time:  2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m.

Hello, I was telling a friend a story of what happened to me years ago, so out of curiosity I researched on the internet and came across your webpage.

It was around 1994/95, and I was working as an armed guard at a mall that was located in Horse Cave, Kentucky (On the back side of Mammoth Cave Park). I was sitting in my car, keeping an eye on the mall and entrance, facing the eastern sky.

It was about 2:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m. in the morning. I had my CB radio on monitoring the Interstate traffic which was just in front of the mall. All of a sudden, the whole sky in front of me in the east, lit up with a blinding blue/green flash of light.

It was so intense that it momentarily blinded me, and terrified me so bad that I thought it was the end of time (seriously). Immediately, semi trucks started pulling to the side of the interstate, also passenger cars.

The CB radio was lit up with terrified truckers, many who were also saying they thought it was the end of time, some thought it was a nuclear explosion, but there was no sound that came with the flash.

It scared me so bad that I could not stop shaking for almost an hour. It made a huge impact on me, and I will remember it to the day I die. It was not lightning, etc. I called 911 dispatch and they confirmed that there were no explosions, etc.

If you could imagine the mots brilliant, yet beautiful light that you can imagine, it still wouldn't describe what myself and many, many others saw on that night in Kentucky.

Bright Red/Orange Ball Of Light Seen Over Louisville Kentucky

Date:  December 31, 2012
Time:  8:00 p.m.

At 8:00 p.m. EDT in Louisville Kentucky (12/31/2012) for 90 seconds, I saw a bright red/orange light travel slowly from southwest to northeast.

The cloud cover was low last night (elevation-5000 to 6000 feet) object looked to be less than half mile from my viewpoint.

Seemed to be hovering just above the bottom of the clouds as the light was very bright, it also had a slight milky or clouded appearance. After 90 seconds of movement, the light quickly became very small and yet more intense and then was not visible.

Orange Fiery Object With A Bright Long Tail Seen Over Louisville Kentucky

Time:  Around Midnight.

I live in Louisville Kentucky. I am online right now trying to figure out what I just saw in the sky. It's a really clear night and I was looking into the eastern sky around midnight EST.

All the sudden I saw a large orange fiery looking light and it literally passed over my head and into the western sky.

It had a very long bright tail and was visible for about 8 seconds. I've seen shooting stars. I watch the Persiad meteor shower every August, but I have never seen anything like this.

I got so excited I immediately got on NASA's website to look for something that may tell me what it was, but found nothing.

I searched pictures of comets and none seemed to really look like it and they say comets tails are not so visible. So I searched bright orange with tail in the sky and found this post. It was incredible and I'm dying to know what it was!

Brilliant Flash Lights Up The Entire Area In A Teal/Blue Light Over Elizabethtown Kentucky

Time:  Between 4:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.

I seen the same thing this morning between 4:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. in Elizabethtown KY, standing in the back door drinking coffee there was a flash of light, almost like an explosion or lightning, but silent.

The sky went from pitch black to almost teal/light bluish color for a few seconds.

Confused and amazed, but mostly scared I woke my husband who is an army vet and worked on the range here in Etown, wondering if he knew of anything it could have been, but no luck, he poked fun at me and went back to bed.

It's been an hour now and the area it covered seems to be a lot brighter than the rest of the sky, ever figure out what this was?

Orange Lights Again Over Florence Kentucky

These lights were back in the air ending around 10:20 p.m. last night (August 26th, 2012). We saw three of them. They were bigger than an airplane and looked nothing like a plane.

The movement was also not steady. Sometimes they moved in a predictable pattern, but then would stop. Not get larger or smaller, and then continue their trajectory. Eventually they faded into the distance after moving across the sky.

Orange/Red Objects Looked Like They Were On Fire In The Sky Over Valley Station Kentucky

My wife and I seen 8 objects they looked like they were on fire glowing kind of orange in center and bright red on outside.

They flew straight at us in a straight line spread out then went up at an angle and disappeared. Took some pictures but not the best.

This was at around 10:30 p.m. August 12, 2012 in Valley Station Kentucky.

8 Red Lights Shot Up Into The Sky Over Louisville Kentucky (Picture)

Hi, I'm from Elizabethtown Kentucky, my mother who lives in Louisville saw these same lights.

She sent me a picture and called me about it.

She told me as her and her husband were sitting outside, they saw 8 red lights in the sky.

They came down pretty low, but then shot straight up to where they were no longer visible.

Ball Of Fire Falling From The Sky Over Lake Cumberland Kentucky

I was at Lake Cumberland in Kentucky with 7 other people that witnessed a ball of fire falling from the sky.

It seemed to move too slow to be a meteor, so we thought it could have been an aircraft. It was about 10:09 p.m. -10:10 p.m. on Saturday August 4, 2012. Do you have any idea what it was?

I was told the Rover took off to Mars this weekend so could it possibly have been a piece from the launch?

Large Red Light Spotted Flying Over Close To Elizabethtown Kentucky

I live in Kentucky, and had the same thing happen on the 29th of this month between 10-12 a.m. This was seen by my and my two friends, we ran to get another group of friends inside, but they tried saying it looked like a paper lantern.

I have seen many reports of this as I decided to look up on it the next day. Turns out many surrounding states, and even another country has had this happen. It was slow moving, in a straight line, red light, sort of flickered a bit, looked large, but just disappeared, and not as in we watched it fly off, it was just gone.

Large Red Flickering Lights In The Sky Over Grayson County Kentucky

My two friends and I had a similar experience on the 29th of this month, we only seen one. If you'd like the details I'll be glad to tell you more.

Well, on Saturday night my two friends and I were on a back deck. I don't remember who took notice to it first, but for about ten seconds we were all speechless. Have never seen anything like this.

It was a red, what looked to be a circle, or oval type figure in the sky. It was red, and seemed to flicker as if by candle light. It seemed far away, but the size looked as if it was closer than what it appeared, maybe it was just larger than what we thought?

Anyways, I am not familiar with what direction it was moving, but if I could sit in the same spot I could point it out. It moved extremely slow, and in a straight line. I got up and opened the door to invite three other friends outside to see this, but they seemed to think it was just a paper lantern, but after they went back in, the object just disappeared.

There were no clouds that night, and no objects this could have went behind. In fact I don't believe it even reached far enough to be out of site. This was reported in Grayson County Ky. The time was approximately between 10:30 and 1:00 a.m.

Our friends made us out to be crazy, and just laughed. I researched online if there had been similar sightings of relatively the same thing, and this paper lantern description has popped up a lot, and I don't believe it's just a coincidence, do you?

I literally did not sleep last night after researching that we were not the only ones that this has happened to, and in the same month, and even same night in another state.

I believe I even seen that this happened in another country close to the Philippines.

5 Orange/Red Spherical Objects Flying Over Edgewood Kentucky

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My wife called me to the front to the house to watch several objects in the sky that she had observed from our deck at the back of the house.

The objects were traveling from southwest toward the northeast of Edgewood KY. They seems to be glowing an orange-red in color and appeared to pulsate and were very bright.

Their speed seemed to be constant, but the rate was impossible to determine, but did not appear to be traveling any faster than a normal jet. The appeared three first followed be two later.

Orange Balls Of Light Flew Over Florence Kentucky

I seen the same balls in Florence, Kentucky around 9:30 p.m. -10:00 p.m., but there was anywhere from 8 to twelve of them scattered, but looked as though they were in some type of order.

Large Blue Object Turns Green With Lights Seen Inside It Over Florence Kentucky

I live in Florence, Kentucky, which is about 15 minutes away via I-75 South.

Friday, February 13th around 9:30 p.m. or so my daughter and I witnessed at first thought to be a bluish falling star.

Quickly, it turned into a large green orb with what appears to best describe as several lights inside. It was not a comet as no tail was visible.

It just came out of the sky and made a slight turn and became large and was gone as if someone turned off the lights.

We did not know what to think, and waited around for more sightings, but went back into the house after nothing more.

Darting UFOs In The Sky Over Central Kentucky Near Fort Knox

Time: Evening.

Hello, tonight while taking the dogs out, I was watching the sky as I always do. I live in central Kentucky near Fort Knox. I saw a faint clump of stars not as bright as others. As I stared at them, one moved around a lot. Very fast back and forth and up and down, kind of like north, south, east and west.

Then after a few minutes, others would join in. Sometimes in the same direction and sometimes in opposites. I have seen what I thought to be UFOs, but that was years ago when I lived in Louisville Ky. I was 17 or 18 at the time and was with my mom, who saw what I saw too. Now at 56 I have to think maybe my eyes aren't what they use to be, but still I saw what I saw.

The strange thing is as I first started watching them, I thought it would be cool to see a meter or shooting star in the cold air. Yes, as I was staring at the movements, a shooting star shot right in front of them.

Round Orange Fireball Observed From Kevil Kentucky

Time: Evening.

Hi, my roommate (name removed) emailed you today about an orange ball of light we have been seeing in the sky above Kevil, Kentucky. I don't have specific dates, I work swing shift so all my days run together.

But on at least 4 different occasions while I have been at work, I have seen this round orange fireball like light coming from the northwest, same exact spot at work every time. It flies in from that direction towards the southeast.

Then it just stops. It holds in its position for a few minutes and flies back the direction it came from very very fast. A lot faster than it flew in. I am not the only one at work who has seen this. My boss, 2 of my coworkers, and the plant superintendent has seen it. I live about 5 miles from where I work and have also seen this with my roommate while sitting on the front porch.

It headed towards the same direction, and flew back where it came from. At first I thought maybe it was a satellite or the space center flying by. But I looked up the dates and times of when the space station would be flying by and would watch it. It is by no means the same light I am seeing, plus the space station or satellite keep a direct path and never return to the direction it came in. This orange ball also fly's a whole lot faster when it's leaving than the space station does. Very strange. Glad I'm not the only one seeing it.

Strange Fireball Over Kevil Kentucky

Hi, my name is (name removed), and I've seen this strange fire ball in the sky over Kevil, Kentucky. It rose in the north and floated around very slowly unlike anything I've seen and returned to where it came from. I see it often and it always does the same thing but sometimes it shoots away to the east. Anyway, just thought I would let you know that you aren't the only one to see it.

Sure, I saw it last night, the 9th at about 11:00pm and once in late July around sunset. Its amazing because its unlike anything I’ve seen or studied. My roommate works at the plant here and she sees it often. It always returns to where it came from.
