Red/Orange Flickering Lights Over Loudonville New York

Time:  Approx: 11:10 p.m.

Last night at about 11:10 p.m. I observed an object moving steadily across the sky (west to east) over Loudonville, NY.  It was difficult to tell how high it was, although it appeared to be less than a mile.

It had reddish-orange, flickering lights, and it stopped twice and hovered for a second or two before continuing, and then disappeared.

I observed it for no more than thirty seconds from open windows on the top floor of my house. It made no sound.

2 Flickering Orange Lights Seen Over Temecula California

I saw 2 orange lights flickering on then fading away and changing locations near where they first appeared tonight, 6-18-14 near the Temecula, California area, either they're UFOs or possible, experimental military aircraft.

Object Appeared Like A Flickering Flame Over Southeast Michigan

I saw a light in the southern sky that I thought was a plane at first, then I noticed that the light was a warm light, like that of a flickering flame. It traveled from about SSE to South for a total of maybe 30-40 seconds.

I went to get my brother, but when we returned outside it was gone. I thought it was a plane on fire then realized that it was probably a meteorite. You don't see something like that everyday.

It was approximately 9:45 p.m. in Southeast, MI.

11 Glowing Orange Lights Flickering In The Sky Over Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Hello, I came across your website after trying to figure out what my family and I saw tonight.

It was today (November 10, 2012) at approximately 6:05 p.m.

There was about 11 orange glowing, almost flickering like candles, moving at the speed of a helicopter and one by one going out of sight. 

There did not make any noise. It is exactly like the other accounts on your page. Let me know anything!

Flickering Lights Separate From Main Bright Light Over Middle Island New York

Time:  Approx: 9:20 p.m.

Hi, me and my husband were walking our dog about 9:20 p.m. tonight, and after a 5 minutes of walking we were looking at stars and saw this bright, bright light south of us, we are in Middle Island, New York.

The light was brighter than any star I've ever seen in sky ever. The light did not move for a few minutes, you could see a definitive plane clearly flying in the direction towards the light and when it got closer towards light, the bright light just shut off.

Then there were four flickering lights moving outward from the light in different directions and the formed a triangle formation to left of where the light originally was.

The other light was to the right of where the original light was. They were not moving for at least a minute. It looked like diamonds sparkling in the sky. Then they all started to move not together in formation, but separately and very fast .

You couldn't see any shape of aircraft because it was too far out, but you clearly see each had a lighting system flashing colors red white and a blurred color.

A cluster of lights and they would flicker each one same order after each other. They headed northeast and quickly, faster than plan. No noise, too far away. We walked in and looked at clock it was 9:31 p.m.

I have never seen anything that bright and far up and stationary go out and divide. What do you think it is. Never seen anything like it. Thanks.

Flickering Yellow/Orange Like A Flame Object Seen Over Spokane Washington

Time:  9:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Your description largely describes what I and three other people saw last night only from the east coast. It appeared to be flickering like a flame and was yellow/orange in color.

It passed around 9:15 p.m. and then made a second round around 10:36 p.m.

We waited to see if it would pass again but it did not. It seemed to be going in a straight line but I have not seen anything like that orbiting before.

Bright Object Flickering Red And Green Lights Seen From Alsea Oregon

Date: October 5, 2012
Time:  Evening.

We saw a bright object very far away at a fixed point in our night sky about 15-20 degrees up from horizon and in western sky.  It also was flickering red and green light (maybe yellow too) and it was very bright and really well seen with binoculars. 

It seemed to stay fixed at one place for 25 minutes and eventually drifted to the right a degree or two (as if it were heading away from us at a very slight angle. I called my uncle that lives nearby and he watched it too.  

It definitely didn't appear to be a jet because of how long it was at the same point in the sky and it was so far away and higher and so bright we didn't think it possible to be a helicopter.     

That you saw red and green flickering lights is real interesting. We are inland from the pacific ocean about 15-20 miles (Alsea, Oregon).   

I took video of it with my camera, but you cannot see the object on the video (just looks like black sky).

8 Flickering Orange Lights Over New York City

My brother and I saw about 8 flickering orange lights floating in the same direction over the East River around 10:15 p.m. on August 18th, 2012 in Brooklyn.

They all moved in the same direction kind of floating, first 3 (one behind another) then died out then about 5 more came in sort of the same formation as Orion's Belt then separated and died out too.

They looked like they were those candle lanterns or something, but seemed much too high for it to be one of those. They all were headed East bound. It seems like other people saw the same things from other places and they were headed east. Very strange.

Large Red Flickering Lights In The Sky Over Grayson County Kentucky

Time:  Between 10:30 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.

My two friends and I had a similar experience on the 29th of this month, we only seen one. If you'd like the details I'll be glad to tell you more.

Additional Information:
Well, on Saturday night my two friends and I were on a back deck. I don't remember who took notice to it first, but for about ten seconds we were all speechless. Have never seen anything like this.

It was a red, what looked to be a circle, or oval type figure in the sky. It was red, and seemed to flicker as if by candle light. It seemed far away, but the size looked as if it was closer than what it appeared, maybe it was just larger than what we thought?

Anyways, I am not familiar with what direction it was moving, but if I could sit in the same spot I could point it out. It moved extremely slow, and in a straight line. I got up and opened the door to invite three other friends outside to see this, but they seemed to think it was just a paper lantern, but after they went back in, the object just disappeared.

There were no clouds that night, and no objects this could have went behind. In fact I don't believe it even reached far enough to be out of site. This was reported in Grayson County Ky. The time was approximately between 10:30 and 1:00 a.m.

Our friends made us out to be crazy, and just laughed. I researched online if there had been similar sightings of relatively the same thing, and this paper lantern description has popped up a lot, and I don't believe it's just a coincidence, do you?

I literally did not sleep last night after researching that we were not the only ones that this has happened to, and in the same month, and even same night in another state.

I believe I even seen that this happened in another country close to the Philippines.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My family was at an Indian Pow Wow and as we were getting to leave, I noticed two orbs in the southwestern sky.

 

They really stood out as there was minimal light pollution. They were moving very slowly towards the northeast, until a distant could blocked our view.

 

They never reappeared once the cloud passed.

7 To 12 Flickering Yellow Orange Lights Seen In The Sky From South Orange County California (Video Footage)

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

 

Hi, we figured these were military flares near Camp Pendleton, but since we could find no mention of them in the news since, here goes.

My wife and I were in our backyard around 9:00 p.m. in South Orange County, CA when we saw these lights ranging from about 7 to 12 in number. We live in the hills with a great view about 20 miles inland, and this was definitely over the ocean, probably around Dana Point, CA.

 

It looked like a loose grid of four flickering yellow/orange lights, with maybe another two or three lines of the same lights below, sort of hovering.

 

There was a lot of flickering and distortion (burning?). It faded out and went dark about twice for 30 seconds each time, then reappeared in a similar formation. All told we saw them for almost five minutes.

I tried to film it twice, first with my cell phone camera (attached) and second with a small point-and-shoot camera. Neither could focus in the dark. I assumed others would have seen these and gotten good film, but I have not heard one mention of it, which is baffling since they were very large and there for so long.

 

I thought for sure these would be on the Ocregister.com the next day.

I'm a skeptic but one thing I definitely appreciate now is how hard it is to photograph something like this when you are not expecting it. I fumbled and failed with two cameras, and if I had planned ahead, I could have grabbed my true video camera off the top of the fridge which has night-mode. I'm thinking that if I had done that, I bet my footage would be on the local news.

Zig Zagging Flickering Light Seen Over Hadley Massachusetts

Good morning, I saw the same strange flickering light with purple color in the southern sky left of Orion’s Belt. The time was 8:30 p.m. 3/21/12 in Hadley, Massachusetts.

 

I called a friend to make sure they could see it too. It was moving in a zig-zag off and on.

(8:45 p.m., 1/25) From our Sugarhouse front porch, looking northward toward the Aves, we saw 5 or 6 flickering, orange lights floating westbound toward town.

 

They sort of looked like those Japanese lanterns that people launch into the sky, by the way they were flickering.

 

Only these were much larger/brighter. Strangely, as each one floated behind the trees in the foreground, they weren't reappearing. I've never seen anything like it!

A String Of 50 Orange Flickering Lights Seen Over Naples Florida

On December 31, 2011, a string of orange flickering lights appeared over the beaches in Naples, Fl. There must have been about 50 of them or more over a two-hour period. 

 

They made no noises as an airplane may have. They were flying too late to be Hot Air balloons, it was already dark. Many people are curious, and nobody addressed the matter in the media.

Flickering Orange Amber Lights Seen Over Vero Beach Florida

This was from my Facebook post I made minuets after I saw the 2 UFO's. Time was about 9:25 p.m. January 3rd, 2012  

Place: Backyard of my home in the subdivision of "Ansley Park" off Oslo Road.

Holy Crap, I officially saw my first UFO!

 

I was walking my dogs in the back yard, and I thought someone shot off a roman candle from across the water from the other neighborhood. It was a brilliant orange/amber color flickering.

 

It made no sound at all and was very beautiful. It was about 300-400 feet above me and I followed it until it disappeared to the east. A few seconds later another one took the same exact path the first one did.

 

I couldn't get over how close it was and how quiet it was. I kept thinking it was a helicopter with a spotlight, but was flickering and totally silent!

I just saw this 5 minutes ago, over St. Pete.

Yes, over St Petersburg. The lights were glowing orange, like a flame flickering. It was about 9:15 p.m. this evening. There were three in a line, one above the other, equally spaced.

 

They were bright and seems to come toward us. One broke the formation, went off to the side, then just blinked out.

 

The second did the same, but it took a few minutes for the last to disappear.

Floating Orange Flickering Object Over Virginia Beach Virginia

I saw some flying over General Booth Blvd. and Dam Neck Road at approximately 9:10 tonight. They looked like what you described. Orange and flickering like a dim flare floating by on a parachute. They were floating toward the ocean. Unfortunately I was driving and could not follow them.

I saw one go over top of me and another behind it following the same path. I came right home and Googled it on the internet and your site was the first I found. I live in Virginia Beach, Va in the United States. Very curious as to what they may be. Thanks.

Strange Flickering Light Over Sandy Utah

Time: Approx: 9:20 p.m.

Hi Brian, a bunch of us saw that light in Sandy at about 9:20pm. It traveled up quickly straight above the top of the Wasatch mountains, just north of Lone Peak. It then hovered in place for about 5 minutes or so. It then moved diagonally and upwards to the south. It then started flickering and went out completely. Very strange movements for sure.
