Shape of object: Full circle or ring
Description of event: It was at the end of August 1968 or 69. About 2000 people were on the beach, 200 meters south of the quay. Suddenly we heard a noise that sounded like a firework over the sea.
Instinctively we all looked in the direction of the noise. Some kind of full circle appeared, it was green. Then the circle started to spread evenly in all directions. After 10 or 15 seconds, this circle was covering 3/4 of the sky and was still spreading. Then general panic occurred and people were running away in all directions.
After another 15 or 20 seconds, the circle disappeared as quickly as it appeared. Panic died quickly and everybody went back to their activities. For certain, none of the witnesses forgot this incident.
