Time: Around midnight.
Location of Sighting: Over Elko NV.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Small red lights.
Full Description of event/sighting: On June 14, 2008 We were visiting Elko, Nevada and went out for a walk around midnight. In the sky near the moon, we noticed 2 small red lights, moving slowly but steadily across the sky. The first red light seemed to move faster than the second one. There was no sound and these were not airplanes.
There were several other people watching (whom we did not know, and who lived in the area). One of the gentleman said he had been watching the lights for about an hour and that they had moved across the sky.
As we watched for about a half hour, the first light flared and then went out.
The second light changed course and disappeared behind some trees towards the horizon,
I wrote to the police department and the newspaper for news but have not received a response.
This is our (my husband and myself) first UFO sighting. We are both educated and intelligent (husband has a Masters Degree and I have a Bachelor's Degree). He is 65 and I am 55.
