Date: January 6, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.Saw what looked like a large meteor falling to the north from my backyard in Murrieta. It then seemed to slow down and hover. It then broke into three separate objects which did resemble a very large flare. But then the flaming tails behind them disappeared as it formed a triangle.
It then just stayed in the same spot in the sky, not falling like a parachute like reported. For about a minute before disappearing. Very strange.
