My girlfriend and I saw approximately 20 orange lights in a procession moving through the sky. They were commingled on a long low trajectory, and appeared to burn out.
There was a halo of smoke visible from each piece similar to footage I have seen from NASA re-entries.
It appears that the objects came from a common source, rather than a hail of meteorites. The last of them appeared to be the most dense, as it traveled the farthest, and had a slightly lower trajectory.
The event lasted approximately 4 minutes in total. This was Saturday night March 3rd, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. in Bandon, Oregon.
