Full Description of event/sighting: I was out in the backyard taking my dog out for his last call. A fairly noisy helicopter was coming across the tree line flashing its red lights and lights. It caught my eye and I followed it. Then I saw what I thought was the brightest star I had ever seen. It was white and extremely bright. It did not move, so I just watched it for about 30 seconds. The light could still be seen and it was towards the back of the thing. It never moved. It just was sitting there in the sky.
Then it started to go dim very slowly. It took about 10-15 seconds to go out. There were no clouds in the sky all day or night, so I was wondering what was going on. Then when it was about 1/2 dimmed down, I could see a triangle-shaped thing. The sides were not even but they were straight. It sort of looked like the stealth bomber, except this had straight sides and made no noise. The helicopter disappeared. I paid no attention to it after spotting the very bright light.
If you drew a line across the middle of it and then spotted the light between the end of it and the middle, that is where it was on the object.
