San Diego, California A Large Flash Turns The Whole Sky An Orange Tinge

Posted: January 20, 2008

Date: October 14, 2006 Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Message: I'm not sure exactly what I saw, but last night a little after 9:00 p.m. in San Diego, California my friend and I were driving southward on Carmel Country road. We were a little elevated, enough to see the sky over the tree-line, but not high enough to see where the light came from. Basically as we were driving there was a large flash that turned the whole sky an orange tinge. What was strange was that the sky was stained orange for about three seconds and then just faded. there was no noise associated with it, and it didn't light up the sky in the same way fireworks do so we were left fairly baffled. If you have any explanation, or have received any other sightings from San Diego, Ca from 10/14/06, I would appreciate a response. Thank you.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
