Bright Glowing Orange Light/Object Hovering Over Liberty Park Powell Ohio

Date:  1990’s
Time:  Evening.

Saw something like this hovering over Liberty Park or to the south of it one night back in the late 1990s.

I watched it while I traveled south heading into Powell, Ohio before for a minute or two before I lost it behind the trees.

To this day have no idea what it was.

Bright Orange Light With Short Trail In The Sky Seen From Avon Park Florida

Date:  March 1, 2015
Time:  Approximately 11:00 p.m.

On March 1, 2015, Sunday evening around 11:00 p.m. a bright orange light with short trail traveling slowly starting in the eastern sky headed higher and finally disappeared.  

Total viewing time about 1 minute or so.

Was seen in the eastern sky standing in my driveway, in Avon Park Florida. It moved steadily in a western direction  and was visible for over a minute.

Two Lights Circling In The Sky Over New Hyde Park New York

I spotted 2 lights circling in New Hyde Park, NY. It is 8:30 p.m. I have never seen anything like this.

Round Red/Orange Colored Lights In The Sky Over Cameron Park California (Video Footage)

Time:  Approx: 12:00 a.m.

My wife and I saw these red lights on two different occasions and we have a few videos as well. Always hoped to hear that someone else saw theses strange lights too. Hope to hear back from you. Thanks.

Brian, we believe the date is November 22, 2013 about midnight or little after. I came outside to have a cigarette and looked up to see 5 I believe round reddish/orange spheres that were really lite up. They would expand,  then contract.

You could see them get bigger then smaller and it happened pretty fast. They were in a line vertically and as I was opening my phone to video it, one sphere had disappeared to leave 4 in a row, that's when my wife came out and she started filming.

We watched them slowly move out of line, one by one until they all vanished. The spheres were big, about the size of a quarter looking out at them. It looked like they were over Hwy 50, but I'm sure they were much farther.

We lived in Cameron Park at the time for 3 years. Actually saw these red spheres twice since living there. I'll send all pictures and videos we have. We both truly believe we saw UFOs. We have seen weird stuff before, but this was too real.

I wish I had video taped it instead of my iPhone. Any questions let me know. Always wondered how many people saw the same thing? Thank you.

Orange/Red Lights Seen In The Sky Over White Rock Lake Park Dallas Texas

Date:  February 2, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

On February 2, 2012 at approximately 20:30 hours over White Rock Lake Park, Dallas, Texas, there appeared in the dark, evening sky an unusual orange-red light, or composite light. 

The temperature was 55 degrees. There were no clouds over this area of Dallas, and the stars were clearly bright and visual in the background. There was virtually no light pollution over White Rock Lake this evening and the lake was still and dark. 

White Rock Lake Park was mostly deserted in this area, however there were several other people walking along edge of the lake. Apparently they did not notice the object.

I was driving with my wife and south on West Lawther Drive on the West side of White Rock Lake. White Rock Lake is rimmed with large residential estates on the west side of the park, all facing east and overlooking the lake.

The orange red light was moving from the East to the southeast across the 65 degree horizon and in the general flight path approach for Southwest Airlines into Love Field Airport to the West of White Rock Lake. 

There were other airplanes in the approach for Love Field Airport in the general vicinity over White Rock Lake.  The orange-red moving light was noticeable and unusual because there were no strobe lights or white lights as are common with commercial or private aircraft. 

The orange-red light appeared in the sky at a 65 degree angle from the road and the light source was the approximate size of the commercial aircraft in the area.  The orange-red light was not moving rapidly, or erratically, but rather deliberately on a particular path and at a speed in common with the other aircraft in the vicinity.

The orange-red flying object was not a star, planet or meteor.

After viewing this object move through the sky and over White Rock Lake for approximately twenty seconds, the object faded and vanished in mid-air over the lake.

Upon closer observation, the orange-red light appeared to have a composite light source of multiple lights.

Given that this area of Dallas is restricted airspace and in the approach path for Love Field Airport, it was highly unusual for any flying craft to have no strobe, and to have turned off its lights and or disappeared.

The disappearance of the orange-red flying craft was not immediate, and it appeared to have diminished in size before vanishing, leaving one with the impression that the source of the light gained altitude at an unusually rapid speed and not on a trajectory common with traditional airplanes. This process took less than several seconds. 

The sky was scanned for several minutes in an effort to locate the object, however this was unsuccessful. 

I am a graduate of the University of Virginia and Southern Methodist University and have experience piloting private aircraft.

I am familiar with the appearance of aircraft making an approach to Love Field Airport in this vicinity, and of the identifying lights required of aircraft, and can attest that this object was not a commercial, private or conventional military aircraft. 

Furthermore, I have observed meteors, comets and other natural celestial phenomena and this object was neither.

8 To 10 Bright Orange/Red Lights In The Sky Over Winter Park Florida

I tried to connect to the link to share my sighting from 02/02/2013, but I can not connect to it. I saw about 8-10 bright orange/red lights in an odd formation and moving slow and very odd.

I work in the flight industry and see aircraft of all sorts and traffic patterns and holding patterns all the time. These acted like no aircraft, but acted like no meteor, or natural occurrence.

What I saw seemed to be piloted they would move this way then the next then in less than a minute they all faded out one by one started from the middle of the formation out.

Incredible, unfortunately I could not get my camera to pick up what I was seeing.

Red/Dark Orange Object With Beam Of Light Inside And Seen Over Winter Park Florida

Hello, on 2/7 at about 7:00 p.m. as I was walking up my driveway after picking up the mail, I glanced up and saw a single reddish/dark orange light over my head. 

I’ve lived in the same house 13 years, near Orlando Int’l airport, and have seen thousands of planes, helicopters and sea planes.  And blimps.
It was overcast and I didn’t actually see what it was, just the light. The first thing I deliberately did was listen for noise, this thing was absolutely noiseless. I watched this single light fly due north until it was no longer visible. 

It flew in a straight pattern. There seemed to be a light beam of some type within this red/orange light, slowly circulating round and round. 

I started yelling for a neighbor and by the time he got to me, the light was very far away but we both knew based on the distance there should have been some type of noise even at that distance. 

When my neighbor didn’t hear a noise either he suggested it was a silent helicopter.

Seems a bright, glowing red/orange light would defeat the purpose of a noiseless aircraft, if they are even being made?

Next morning I started Googling everything I could find, even ‘drones’, this was not a drone. I found your website, but didn’t see anything that related until today. 

Apparently I’m not the only one that saw this, thank God!

Any ideas what it could have been?  Has this been debunked yet? I am absolutely a believer that life exists elsewhere in the universe, but still can’t believe I actually saw what I think I saw. Thank you for being there!

Metallic UFO With Hump On Top Hovered Above The Lake At Lake Michigan Highland Park Illinois

Date:  1966-67
Time:  Around dusk.

In 1966-67 my brother and I saw a UFO on Lake Michigan in Highland Park, Illinois. We were at the beach riding our bicycles and it was getting dark when I saw it about 200 yards off the beach.

It was metallic in color and had a hump on top and was hovering just above the water.

It looked like it had some lights underneath. I often wondered if it needed water or something.

As we were watching it, a policeman drove up and told us it was time to close the beach. He did not notice the ship until we pointed it out to him, and he was shocked to see it too.

He called his dispatcher and they called the Glenview Naval Base to track it on radar. It seemed as soon as he called the craft started moving up very slow and I remember it didn’t make any noise as it reached a certain height.

It took off like a bullet and just accelerated out of sight. I was only 12 years old and my brother was 15. They lost it on the tracking at Glenview Naval Base the policeman told us.

It looked like it could fit about 8 people in it. I never contacted the policeman and didn’t know his name to this day. We didn’t tell anybody for a long time, but we remember it.

It kind of changed my life. My parents were strict Catholics and I wasn’t going to tell them. They would say sure, what are you nuts, but I know from records of the state of Michigan at that time there were alot of reports all along Lake Michigan.

5 Pulsating Orange/Yellow Lights Over Braden River University Park Florida

I live in University Park on the Braden River and was sitting on my dock sometime after midnight last night.

We saw five pulsating lights orange/yellow in color fly across the north sky from east to west and fade out into the night sky one at a time in the same place.

Did anyone else see these? I took video of them on my phone.

Between 9 And 11 Orange Lights Seen In The Sky Over Grosse Pointe Park Michigan

Date:  January 12, 2013
Time:  Evening.

While turning our compost pile I noticed a line of orange lights through the trees, just above our neighbor's house.

I first thought a firework had just exploded, but the embers did not dissipate, so I studied them more closely.

There were between 9-11 orange lights, bright enough to be very low flying aircraft, but they made no noise at all. 

They were flying very slowly northwards (much too slowly to be an small aircraft), evenly spaced, in an arced line except for the last four, which formed a small square.  It looked a bit like the Little Dipper, with less of an arc.

I called my husband outside and he saw the whole formation (assuming it wasn't larger before I noticed it) and, because it was moving out of view, we ran to our front yard where we saw our neighbors and told them to look up.

The lights began extinguishing one by one, and by the time our neighbors witnessed them, there were only three, but they were still bright and silent. 

Then, the last three lights went out, again, one by one, very gradually.

I saw that a local news station ran a story about folks seeing strange lights in the sky in the past few days, but no calls to the local Air Force Base or Federal Government have been returned.

Also, it seems odd that similar lights have been spotted across the country in the last month, in areas that do not have Air Force bases or, unlike us, are not near an international border.

Answer: Grosse Pointe Park, MI, approx. 1/8 mile from Detroit River's opening onto Late St. Clair

Question: Can you estimate how high they were?
Answer: The clouds were low that night, and the lights were below them (obviously). I'd estimate they were about as high as the lowest permissible altitude for a small aircraft.

Question: What was the weather like that night?
Answer: Humid, cloudy, winds were E/3mph

Question:  Did you or anyone else you know get pictures for video?
Answer:  No, unfortunately. I drove up the lake afterwards to try to get some images, but it became very foggy and visibility was almost nil.

Question:  There was you and your husband and how many neighbors?
Answer:  Two, so four altogether.

I couldn't stand being baffled for long and have since concluded that the lights were most likely Chinese lanterns released in Windsor, Canada.

They were moving at approxamtly wind speed and direction, and could have easily drifted across the river in the time it took them to "extinguish"/rise above the cloud cover.

I am open to being convinced otherwise if this type of sighting has occurred in areas where the likelihood of Chinese lanterns being lit and set aloft to celebrate or commemorate an occasion is unlikely!

Object’s Color Went From Yellow To Green Blue Then White With Long Tail Over Massapequa Park New York

Dear Brian, I just Googled “shooting star January 5, 2013 6:30 pm” and it up pulled up your web site.

I have this to share with you.

I live in Massapequa Park, LI, NY and we have planes that come in from the south shore every night.  Last night, around 6:30 p.m.,  I was outside looking up at the sky, it was so clear and lots of star seven with the street lights and all.

All of the sudden, I see the large burst of yellow and the star was moving south, opposite of the directions the planes are going. So it took me a second to realize what I was looking at. 

The star then changes colors. It goes from yellow to green, then blue and then white with the longest tail ever that I have ever seen.

I have seen a lot of shooting stars, but nothing like this.  It was unbelievable, my son was with me and he saw it when it was white. It was slow at first, the it took off.

I was in North Park and saw two fireballs low in the sky north and a little east, not in the normal flight path.

Lights In The Sky Form Triangle Seen Over Central Park New York (Pictures)

Time:  Approx: 8:35 p.m.

Tonight (12-21-12) at approximately 8:35 p.m. EST, I saw a strange aircraft in the sky.

It didn't look like it was flying in a typical aircraft manner. I was driving, but the object was flying so irregularly that I stopped and kept my eye on it.

Suddenly, a third light appeared to form a triangle. I brushed it off as though I was seeing things, but the image is really bugging me so I decided to search to see if anyone else saw anything in the sky that resembles my description. 

The object was flying towards/over Central Park, headed SE.

I have also seen a flying object in my backyard a couple of times in the past week, again at night.

The object doesn't fly like a normal aircraft, more of an up and down while flying laterally motion.

It is a single light.

Again flying SE. Those encounters weren't as startling as what I witnessed tonight.

Above are two pictures taken with an iPad about a week ago.

The moon was particularly full and orange. When I zoomed in on the 2nd picture at the object in the sky, I got particularly freaked out when I saw the image of a scary face appearing to the left of the object.

You have to zoom in the bright object in order to be able to see it.

I took several pictures however, only these two show a light in the sky.

Could be nothing at all, but the 'face' freaked me out.

Two Glowing Orange Objects Over Oakland Park Florida

Date:  December 18, 2012
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Saw two orange glowing objects moving west to east around 10:00 p.m. on 12/18/12 in Oakland Park, FL. Both moving slow and silent. The second followed the first by maybe 2 minutes.

Both paused over Fort Lauderdale Beach area before climbing and disappearing to the southeast. I’m a licensed pilot, these were no aircraft I’ve ever seen. No position lights, landing lights or beacon.

Just a silent throbbing orange silent glow moving in a definite direction. These were headed into the wind so forget about the possibility of it being a balloon or floating paper lantern.

60 Feet Ball Of Fire/UFO Hovered Over Druid Hill Park Baltimore Maryland

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While my mother brother and I were watching TV, my brother looks over to the window on his right and jumps up from chair and says, "oh crap look at this".

We went to the window and observed a ball of fire floating over the house adjacent to ours. The object was about 25 feet wide. It hovered over house then proceeded across the main street in front of our home then into Druid Hill Park.

The object stopped over a clearing in park and hovered over it in the air at about the height of the tallest tree 50 -60 feet maybe. It moved back and forth about 4 times, then it just stopped.

It then began to get smaller as it ascended, until it looked almost like a white spec in the sky. It then looped up into the sky and disappeared.

4 Lights Moving In A Circle In The Sky Over Woodland Park Colorado

Hello Mr. Vike, I just got done reading your post about the lights circling the sky over Massachusetts.

I thought you might be interested to know that the exact same thing is currently being sighted over Woodland Park, Colorado.

I first spotted them around 8:20 p.m., it has been at least an hour. I don't know what time others have seen it.

There doesn't appear to be any ground source. There are 4 lights that circle clockwise then come together in the center, just as your description says.

We decided to research the sighting and found your post, thank you for making this an interesting night!

Strange Colored Lights Seen In The Cambrian Park California Area

My son and I saw some strange colored lights in the sky above our house in the Cambrian Park area.

They did not appear to be moving, the appeared to only be stationary at the time.

We watched them for about 20 minutes and then it got late and we had to go to bed.

Two Red/Orange Balls Of Glowing Light Seen From Waldameer Park Erie Pennsylvania

Full Description of Event/Sighting: There were two reddish/orange balls of glowing light that were way out in the sky, like they could be stars, but were much bigger in size.

My boyfriend, daughter and I were on a train ride around Waldameer Park in Erie, PA when we noticed the strange lights. A lady behind us on the train was commenting about the lights as well. One of the balls of light disappeared and then there was just one.

After a few more moments the other ball of light disappeared too. There was no sound from them, just glowed in the sky and vanished in a blink of an eye. I read that there was a similar sighting over Lake Erie about two years ago so we thought it was worth it to share what we saw.
