Location of Sighting: Above the hill behind our house.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Circular.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was getting ready to go to bed and as I was locking our back door when I saw this bright light in the sky, which at first I thought might have been the North star. But having seen the North star many times, I took a better look. We have a few big hills behind our house and this "object" was just hovering over one of them, but it was not close enough where I could see specific things. All that I could see was the red, green and white lights pulsating around the object at a great rate of speed. So then I thought maybe this was a tower on the hill or something, so I awoke my husband to come take a look. He couldn't explain what it was, but that he was sure there wasn't a tower up there.
And the whole time I was watching this (approx: 20 minutes) the object never moved, which made me believe it wasn't a plane or helicopter. At one point of watching it, a low flying plane flew over our house headed toward the objects direction. I hadn't thought anything about it, but about 5 minutes after I heard the plane, the object very, very slowly lowered down over the mountain where I couldn't see it anymore. I've never seen anything like this before and I didn't believe in UFOs, but I just can't explain this! Someone had told me they had seen this same thing a couple months back and thought it to be a satellite, but I'm just not sure.
