Also, for 8 hours on 4/16/08, Rush County, Indiana experienced no cell phone service, no land line long distance service, and no wireless internet service. People could not use credit cards or debit cards. Military helicopters also spotted hovering on the north side of town. Reports from phone and internet services stated that it was just a coincidence-- a fiber optic line had been cut during road repairs and the Verizon office in Ohio that handles our phone service had computer's go down that day.
