Norfolk, Nebraska Object Shrinks In Size

Posted: April 12, 2008

Date: April 4, 2008
Time: 8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Norfolk, Nebraska.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Orb.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was out on a smoke break at work with my buddy's sister. We were chatting outside about nothing in particular and I looked up, facing the western sky. It was clear, no clouds. There was a bright star-like object, but I took a double take, realizing it was much too large to be a star. I stood fixed for less than a minute as the "star" shrunk in size in it's location to a much smaller bright object. It started moving northwestward in sort of a C curve away from us. The sun was setting at the time. It was not an airplane as it was not blinking. I have seen similar phenomena when I was a college student at Chadron State College, only I had not seen one this large initially. I pointed towards it to show my buddy's sister, as it started to move away. She saw it as it moved away. It covered a great distance extremely fast. I could see some strobe effect it was producing, just before it was out of sight. It left no trail.

A jet was passing over just after it moved away and it had a blinking light of course and a trail of exhaust.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
