Date: November 1, 2005 Time: Approx: 11:56 p.m.
I saw a brilliant, green fireball going straight "down" in the E, SE sky at approx. 11:56 p.m. Nov. 1st from the center of town in Tucson, Az (we are not on daylight savings time here).
I've seen numerous meteors and meteorites, but this one was spectacular! It lit the whole Eastern sky green for a fraction of a second and was the size of a nickel held at arm's length. I thought you'd like to know.
Sincerely,
Thank you to the witness for the information.
