Location of Sighting: Outside of Altoona.

Shape of objects: Unknown.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving home from Dmacc, the Ankeny campus and I was almost near the Altoona city limits when all of a sudden this white bright flashing light caught my attention. The object was heading north, but then all a sudden the object switched directions and started heading south. Then the flashing light died out then it just started glowing red and the object was also descending. It looked pretty large now and I have seen similar pulsing craft like this one, but they didn't fly as low as this object did. But there's more, the object also switched directions another time it then changed it's course from heading south and then started heading west. It crossed over the road and descended a little more and kind of picked up speed. It was hard to tell the shape of the object. It looked kind of tilted and it was strange. Total time this object was in sight was about five minutes. There sure have been some weird craft seen in the area lately.
