Glowing Orange Lights Over St. Petersburg Florida

Date: December 31, 2010
Time: 11:52 p.m.

St. Petersburg, FL- New Years Eve 2010, at 11:52pm, we saw the first glowing orange light moving from SE to NW. Very steady pace, no noise, no tail. About 3 minutes later, a formation of 3 passed on the same path. A few minutes that, two additional lights passed moving in the same direction, only slightly west of the original ones.

There were several more following the original path over the course of about 15 minutes. Of the several we saw, two “burned out” while in view, but all of the others moved in a NW direction until out of sight. Very odd, not sure the Chinese lantern makes sense, but nothing else does either.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Saw the described here on 12/25/2011 @9:06 pm but going west to east. There were 4 and each one slowly dimmed to where you couldn't detect. I have photos. There were four of us who witnessed this. I reported to the news but they weren't really interested.

Palm Harbor, FL. On December 31, 2011, New Year's Eve, at approximately 7:00 p.m. I saw 6 or 7 orange orbs in the sky moving northwest. Four were in a straight line and two behind. They were dimming and disappearing one by one until all were gone... this took about two minutes from the time I first saw them. My neighbors were the first to witness them. I looked up to see what they were staring at... the orange orbs. Really amazing. They were seen one year ago on New Year's Eve 2011 by other people. If anyone else knows anything, please let us know.

Just saw very similar thing over St. Petersburg! Set of 4, then one larger & brighter. They rise from the west moving northwest. They were bright & steady & silent, and large.
