6 Glowing Orange Lights Over Nashville Tennessee

Date:  August 11, 2012
Time:  After dark.

Hello, last night while I was mowing after dark and happened to look up in the sky, there were five or six orange glowing lights. They were moving together very slowing in a southwestern direction from where I was.

I sat and stared and them for quite a while thinking they were some sort of military operation, helicopters out of Fort Campbell, KY, but the lights didn't look like helicopters.  They caught me so off guard that I didn't think to get my I-Phone out and take a video.

I watched them for a while (a couple of minutes?) and then made another 100 foot round on the lawnmower.  When I turned back around facing the same direction I first saw them, there were only two of them left.

I sat transfixed and wondered where the other four went, thinking they went behind cloud cover. I turned off the mower and intently watched the last two. They seemed to turn south and just faded out of sight.

It was then that I checked the sky for clouds, there weren't any, I could see stars in the area that the lights disappeared in.
We were supposed to be able to see a meteor shower last night, but these definitely were not meteors. I had a very unnatural feeling about the lights, something unnatural and eerie.

The only reason I turned away the first time was that my mind wanted to write them off as something that could be explained such as an aircraft of some sort.

After watching the final two disappear, I now know that they were not like anything I have seen before.

The glowing lights were quite large compared to the stars in the sky and if they had been helicopters, considering the brightness and size of the lights, I would have heard the rotors (we have army helicopters fly overhead reasonably often and also the Life Flight Medical helicopter(s) out of Vanderbilt Medical Center.

I have no explanation for what I saw and told my wife about it. We watched the local news out of Nashville, TN (30 miles south) and there was no mention of the lights. I kept thinking that surely someone else had seen them and would have a logical explanation for what I saw.

I know that I was clear of mind, everything else seemed normal. During a break in a movie tonight I decided to Google the (orange lights in the sky over Nashville, TN) and found this website/blog.

After reading your posts on the blog, I figured I would write you and let you know that someone else had seen the orange lights. I hope this information is helpful, I certainly do not have an explanation that I can give except that I believe that what I saw was real and was not from any technology that I am aware of.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, perhaps you can help to explain the event.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

I work near percy priest and noticed more than 3 large bright objects over the lake. I was travelling couchville pike from the airport side toward bell rd. On couchville driving toward the lake I looked up saw 3 very bright white circles that seemed to be floating still in the sky. I assumed there were some delays on the runways at the airport. Who knows? I think this was monday December 10 between 4:50p-5:40p

My husband and I saw a bright orange orb very highly lit in Franklin, TN this evening a little before 6 PM. It looked cylindrical at first and then looked round as it travelled East. May have had red on top.

I have seen the EXACT thing on smoke breaks at work in Franklin. They always just disappeared. I've noticed both at day and night.

I noticed 2 large bright orange/white orbs over Brentwood (Nolensville Road) last night at about 9:10PM - May 28th 2014. Very large, very close, and very bright and not too high. No audible noise at all coming from them. This was a very unsettling for some reason. The two orbs slowly moved away to the east and were joined by a third orb. They proceeded eastward and moved briskly upward and then disappeared. I took photos of them on my iPhone.
