Orange Flaming UFO Makes A Turn Over Twinsburg Ohio

Date: August or early September 2010
Time: Evening.

The descriptions of UFOs on your site sound exactly like what my son (14) and I (56) saw one evening recently (not sure if it was late August or early September).

Anyway, we were in Twinsburg, Ohio, when we saw what appeared to be an orange flaming mass drifting slowly in a southeasterly direction, toward us. It maintained that direction for approximately a minute, growing in size. The object was so startling, I pulled to the side of the road and lowered my convertible top to get a better view.

It was difficult to judge size, speed and altitude. Relatively, at its largest, it looked slightly smaller than a full moon typically appears in the sky. If it was very close, then it might have been only a few feet in diameter, at an altitude of perhaps a hundred feet, and traveling at only a few miles per hour. If, however, it were at a very high altitude, then it was massive - twenty times the size of conventional aircraft - and traveling at hundreds of miles per hour. There was no sound, nor evidence of smoke from the "flames." The flames did not appear to be the result of thrust of any sort. There was no marking, structure, or otherwise discernible feature.

After a minute or so, it took a broad turn to the southwest, and continued into the distance, diminishing in size and brightness until it was no longer visible. This took another minute or two. The fact that it did not appear to approach the horizon as it grew more distant suggests to me that it was gaining altitude.

Let me know if you have any other reports in this time-frame, near this location.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
