Just saw the same blue ball shoot across the northern sky of Central Florida.
We are out enjoying a fire in the back yard Apopka Fl when we saw it around 8:40 tonight 11/08/12.
The coolest thing was the neon like trail it left in the sky that just stayed there for a minute or so.

I just seen a blue light fall from the sky very fast...i was driving home from work at 10:05 pm and saw a flash of blue...then it fell twards the ground in a very fast motion....i live in joliet il...about 45 mins south of chicago...all i can say is wooooow...
