Hello, I’ve lived here ten years and never saw anything like the lights this evening in the western sky.
I believe it was lights coming from Durham (maybe a sporting event) but a friend of mine insisted that there have been a spate of triangular clusters of three lights all over the place.
So here is my picture of just that, plus two strange red lines to the left.
They stayed like that for 30 minutes and slowly faded away, I have multiple long exposures.

Tonight August 3,2013 we were driving down main st in Wake Forest,NC and saw twinkling light clusters just like in your picture We thought it was Fireworks but the cluster of lights just faded away..We did notice it had rained earlier in the evening
