Hello, my name is (name removed), and I had a similar experience on 9/21/12 around 8:30 p.m. or so. I was driving West on Route 2 in Marlborough, CT and saw a bright object falling from the sky off in the distance to the west.
It did not light up the sky for me, it just fell and looked like a roundish object that gave off some light as if on fire. My mother and I both saw this, but cannot find anything other than your post about it. Curious!

my sister and I just saw a rather large and long flying object with one extremely bright light in front and a few red and orange lights, it teetered back and forth like a teeter totter on the playground and then fell beneath the tree line.... no noise so we really don't think it was a helicopter and it didn't appear to have wings and the choppy movements it made in the sky were like nothing we had ever seen.
