Orange Lights In The Sky Over Sacramento California (Video)

Date:  February 14, 2013
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Hello, February 14, 2013 around 10:00 p.m. in the sky over Sacramento, kind of close to McClellan airport.

I saw 4 lights at first, then one went out. The other three remained in semi triangle pattern.

I was pulling into a parking lot when I saw them. I thought at first it was a plane flying and turning. Then I noticed it wasn't moving. Then one light went out. I jumped out of my truck and tried to get a photo with my phone, but didn't turn out great.

I didn't know if they were flares or maybe Chinese lanterns. Didn't see anything on the news. People had to have seen them. Highway 80 is right there. So is Cal expo and Arden fair mall.

From my angle they looked to be in a semi triangle and weren't moving. Just sitting in the same spot. I couldn't hear anything except the cars from the highway. Then the lights slowly went out. 2 at first then the last one.

From when I saw them, the whole thing was about a minute long. 10-15 minutes later I did see a helicopter in that same area. I could hear that. Thanks.

Additional Information:

I was just looking at my photos and forgot I tried to take a video. Only one second long. At the end of video you can see the 3 lights. My photo I took was useless. I'll try and send that to you.

I tried video 1st, but figured it was to far away and wouldn't be able to see it so I switch to photo. Should've kept it on video.

I something in the sky over citrus heights, ca last night around 8:45. Orange light, appeared to be burning. Whatever it was stopped burning and became hard to track, seconds before leaving my view I saw a 'poof of white smoke' or so I thought. As it got bigger I was able to make out a parachute. Nothing on the news and all searches return meteors. I posted the video on KCRA channel 3's website and my youtube. I admit the cell phone video leaves a lot to the imagination. 5 megapixel cell camera can only do so much zoomed in.

At Approximately 2045 tonight I video taped a series of orange/yellow glowing objects fly silently over the sky in fair oaks coming from a SW direction at about 700 ft altitude. Just under the cloud deck when they reached a general area over my neighbors home the slowed down and ascended into the clouds. My friend witnessed these as well.

May 31 2013 9:10pm i saw three red lights flickering in a triangle. I thought for sure it was a plane but they didn't have the white wing blinking lights with any of the red lights. One by one they began to fade away. It was over the Carmichael area on Watt. Ive never seen anything like it.

Tonight at 9:45pm My husband and I witnessed about 50-100 red orange things floating in the sky over east Sacramento.. We pulled over at Mckinnley Park but could not get a good photo/video due to the trees. They looked like they were following each other. They did not make any noise we could hear. I called channel 10 and they said they were remote control toys. (I know they were not toys) they went towards Cal Expo and look liked they fade des or burned out. Channel 3 said I was the only person to call it in. What the heck could they be??

Two friends and I just saw about 20-30 orange lights flying over el dorado hills facing the Sierra foothills. They seemed to all follow eachother towards auburn then burned out. We have never seen anything like this before. Totally unexplained and not natural.

When leaving a potluck in Orange, CA about 9pm, 8/31/2013, I saw a couple pointing to the sky. They sky was overcast with a layer of lumpy white clouds. I looked up and saw four lights in a row, remaining in place (not moving as though an airplane) and blinking seemingly at random. If they were from an airplane, they would be tinier. They were a reflection of light above the clouds. Sometimes malls set up lamps that point to the sky as part of their promotion, but in this case, there were no rays to follow to earth. So they were projections from above the cloud canopy.

Sept.1st, 2013. I saw about 10-12 orange lights high up in the sky over Orange County, California. I was riding in a car near South Coast Plaza Mall. There could have been more but the street I was driving on blocked the side views because of trees. Some were moving together and some like they were tagging along. I have never seen this before and I've lived in this area 30 yrs. They flew higher into the sky and further away from where I was until they disappeared.

What is the bright light in the sky southwest of Sacramento, about 40 degrees above horizon. It has been there for weeks. A very bright light shaped like a flat wedge, stationary, and far away from the moon?

I've seen one on Feb 11, 2014 in central Texas. I looked like a fiery ball about 50ft above the ground. It moved pretty slow across the sky.
