Meteor - Two Bright Blue Flashes Lit Up A Clear Sky Over San Fernando Valley California

Date:  February 14, 2013
Time:  Approx: 7:18 p.m.

My wife and I were walking in Burbank Hills last night February 14, 2013. At approximately 7:18 we witnessed two bright flashes that covered the entire night sky encompassing the San Fernando Valley as far as the eye could see.

They were about 4 seconds apart. The sky was cloudless and the crescent moon and stars were sharp. We spoke to a few others who also witnessed the same event. No noise followed the flashes.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

My wife and I witnessed the flashes in the sky as well. We thought a transformer blew out somewhere or maybe fireworks... Very bright series of flashes followed by another flash seconds after the first. Wondering if the flashes had anything to do with the meteor in Russia?
