Brian, I was out on the balcony, (Pompano Beach ) at 10:00 p.m., on October 20, 2012 and I was hoping to see some meteorites.
I observed 10 silent orange lights, in groups of one, two's and three's, coming in from the southeast, over about a 15 minute period.
They would advance to about the Fort Lauderdale Airport and curve around to proceed southwest, and shortly thereafter, into a cloud bank. Looked as though they were skirting around the Miami area.
Soon after, a passenger jet crossed the same area, and was quite audible.
