Hi I'm in Bridgeport Connecticut and saw the same lights the witness had described last night November 2nd, 2012 at about 10:00 p.m.
At first I thought they were the lights used to promote events such as grand openings or concert events, but thought it was strange that I did not see the beam of light coming from the ground.
There were just a oval circular greenish light flying in a circular pattern above the clouds it lasted about 1 minute from the time I noticed it

my wife was on I84 around 5:30 at the taconic exit and saw a green light shooting across the sky??? Don't know what it was.
I live in sw oklahoma and watched a blue and red light erratic pattern towards the se oklahoma night sky 11-12-12
