Time: 3:40 a.m.
We saw 2 green flashes on my way to work 3-10-12 3:40 am. my co-worker was driving North towards Oakland, California and out of no where, a green flash lit up the sky twice!
There was a little bit of clouds out in the sky, so at first we might of thought it was lightning, but then the green flash lit up the sky again and confirmed that it wasn't lightning since the entire sky suddenly flashed Green.
Any idea what this might have been? Not to many people seem to have noticed it.

a close friend saw them as well. said it lit up the whole sky and sidewalk, like fireworks or lightning, but silent.
he said he couldn't tell if the flash was coming from behind the clouds or from something on the ground, but that it was bright enough that he expected to hear a sound.
he said it was a bit too bright to have been a light show, and that the timing was odd if that was the case, since most people were asleep.
and the creepiest detail for me personally:
he said each flash was a double flash, that is, was in reality two flashes in rapid succession.
i forgot to add that this was outside, in downtown Oakland. inside there was no anomaly divergent enough to catch attention, at least, not my attention.
