3 Bright Orange Lights Over Batavia Illinois

Date:  May 21, 2011
Time:  10:01 p.m.

Hi, last night (5/21/2011) at 10:01 p.m. we saw a orange light that looked like a flame flying at the speed of a small plane. We were sitting out on the deck when it approached from the southeast and traveled toward the northwest. It moved in a straight line and did not flutter or vary in speed at all.

There was a breeze going in the same direction as it traveled. It resembled one of those Chinese paper lanterns, but I could not tell how high or what exactly it was. It traveled in the northwest direction until it went out of sight.

Then at about 10:15 p.m. an identical light came. Same direction, same speed, same everything. This time I got a better look and it appeared as a star that was aflame with a glow around it. Then about 10:20 p.m. another one came and did the same exact thing. Not sure if there were more as we moved into the house because my kids were getting scared.

I really cannot tell what it was, but I do know that in my 42 years I have never seen anything like it. It was so perfect and consistent, not sure what to think. What do you? Thanks.
